🚨🗣️Stop excluding women from the conversation. When chatting with PHP Alumni Yasmin Hussain she discussed her biggest challenge. Yasmin is a great coach who has worked endlessly to get where she is today yet she still faces so many obstacles. It is so deflating to still see these issues as women in sport and we need to make a change 👊 We couldn’t be prouder of Yasmin and her determination to become an influential leader; This will only make you stronger. 💪 Stop excluding women from conversations, just because they’re women. 👊🚨‼️

Brilliant video, and message 💗
Women of LinkedIn, this is why it is our duty to talk openly about our achievements. We need to talk about what we do, how we do it, our successes, and our struggles. We need to be seen for our intelligence, our ambition, our determination, and resilience. For the girls we were, and the girls that come after us. They need us to be bold. They need to witness what is possible. 🩷 Video credit Shelley Zalis.

In her tenure as both a top executive and board member, Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou, SM '84, has learned how to position herself so her voice can be heard. Her advice to other women: "You decide how much power you give to other people... Self-confidence is in the language of power: I can versus I could, I will versus I would. This is a skill we can teach young women." Learn More | tinyurl.com/39chdbnw

There are so many points to notice in this clip. What can we do with organizations to create a culture that leaves space to rest, reset, and reengage? Is that even the part that's missing?
"It is always concerning when we have a female CEO step down and get replaced by a male CEO...because women are so underrepresented in C-Suites." ForbesWomen's Maggie McGrath joins Mika Brzezinski, Huma Abedin on Morning Joe to discuss women leaders in the C-Suite. Know Your Value

A bit of advice from an almost 40-something to younger women in the industry: 1. Cultivate Your Voice: Finding and refining your voice in your work sets you apart. Originality is key. 2. Guard Your Well-being: You cannot pour from an empty cup. Avoid overcommitting to the point of exhaustion. Your health is invaluable. 3. Embrace Serendipity Through Visibility: Share your work and ideas to make unexpected opportunities and connections happen. 4. Value Your (Self) Worth: Don't settle for an environment that doesn’t recognise, support, or fairly compensate you. Know and assert your value. 5. Explore Uncharted Paths: The obvious career paths aren’t always the best. Dare to explore and experiment. 6. Find Your Support Network: Build connections with other women in the industry, they will be your foundation, offering support, safety, and strength when you need it most. 7. Pursue Your Passions: Dive into areas that fascinate you, no matter how trivial they might seem to others. Your curiosity can lead you in incredible directions. Bonus: Avoid the narcissists in their 'rockstar' guises, those fuckers are toxic and they'll drag you into their chaos if you're not careful. Learn to recognise them fast and run for the hills. Remember, your career in this industry is not just about surviving; it’s about thriving. Your journey should be one of joy, discovery, and self-fulfilment. Go and make some magic happen.

There are days where I spend more time in the comment sections of TikTok than scrolling through videos on my feed — where the real insightful conversations and true value exchange take place. On one of the last day’s of Women's History Month I wanted to 1)invite you to look at these heartwarming and enriching examples of female solidarity and girlhood, where women give each other advice (on TikTok: https://lnkd.in/gJzSZe4i and on Instagram: https://lnkd.in/g93giAT7) 2) share this great article about the new generation of young, female, and non-white scholars-turned-creators on TikTok who publicly share their knowledge and expertise: https://lnkd.in/gsVfWRMb) 3) ask if any brilliant, senior or executive women I know or admire on this platform had any advice to share with younger women in the industry? Please share yours and tag someone else to do the same!
