If you try to weigh a single atom, it doesn't weigh anything and will float in the air. It's not until about a hundred atoms clump together, that, then weight appears. Quantum defines atomic weight by an average of all the atoms to make the mass, but that's misleading. H2O vapour mist in the air has no weight but when it condenses into raindrops it suddenly has weight. The lab that measures the speed of gravity noticed that when it rains, the acceleration rate of gravity (normally 9.81m/s2) increases slightly, i.e. the sudden extra mass in the air from the rain formation, adds to the mass of the whole planet, increasing the acceleration rate of gravity. I like theories that are built on provable facts, and struggle with theories that are built on theories, that lead to wild speculations and grandiose claims, it's nice to see your level headed approach to such a minefield of potential misinformation...
For the first time in 4 decades, physicists have found a new approach to solving a problem which is almost a century old: How to combine quantum physics with gravity. I told you about this new approach, called “Postquantum Gravity” from Johnathan Oppenheim briefly before Christmas. Neutrons, when plucked from the nucleus of atoms, become unstable and decay after some time. Physicists know that these unstable neutrons die after about 14 minutes, but they cannot pinpoint the exact seconds in which the neutrons last, even as today’s experiments are at their most precise.
