Ridge is Remote First! 🌎 What Does This Mean?! In March 2020, Ridge embraced a remote-first approach, sparking exponential growth. By expanding our talent pool beyond the United States to a global scale, we now have team members on almost every continent (still looking for someone in Antarctica!). 🐧 This shift has revolutionized our company, breaking free from the geographic limitations of Southern California. However, remote work isn’t without its challenges. At Ridge, we prioritize communication to ensure our distributed team stays connected and productive. There’s no such thing as overcommunication here; it’s our key to success. 👩💻 The best part? Ridge operates 24/7! With colleagues across various time zones, it’s always 9 AM somewhere, and someone is always hard at work. 🚀 Ridge never sleeps! 🛌 💼 #RemoteWork #GlobalTeam #RidgeLife

Goodbye, Aruba! The D'Ambrosio's are back in Dallas after a summer of pastechi's, bushi's, beach time, and remote work. Most business leaders underestimate what can be done with a remote team because they don't want to be intentional about culture building. But I've found that regular but short, intense bursts of in-person team time get you a better culture than an unintentional office environment where you just "bump into each other." Remote work allows people to work out, pray, spend more time with their families, support their kids, stay where their support system is, and live where the cost of living is lower. It really enrages me how most conservative business owners are so committed to in-person work. Are you going to force families to uproot and move away from their families, live in an expensive city, and spend two hours driving in traffic to work 8+ hours a day for you? I thought we were trying to support families. Remote is great. End of rant. #remotework #digitalnomad #culture #entreprenureship #family

Fair assessment. But, even for someone like myself, who is self-motivated and accountable, there is a noticeable difference between working on-site and remotely. Being in an office with others adds another level of energy and engagement that is hard to replicate when working alone. However, I believe that for those with high personal accountability and self-motivation, the difference in output between on-site and remote work is minimal. On the other hand, individuals with low personal accountability and a high need for external motivation may experience a significant difference in their output depending on whether they are working on-site or remotely. Great question John Morgan ! #remotework #onsitejobs #accountability #resultsoriented #results #production #peopleengagement #energy #staffingandrecruiting #peopleexperience #selfmotivation #procom Procom

Co-Founder and CEO of StorageReach. Helping storage facilities generate real online reviews from their tenants without breaking the bank.
Today I watched the solar eclipse with my boys. Working remotely means myself, and my employees, can cherish special moments such as today, with their loved ones. At StorageReach, we've embraced remote work from day one, recognizing the importance of balancing professional commitments with personal joys. As the moon comes across the sun, it's a reminder of the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. It's also a reflection of our company values - fostering a culture where family time isn't compromised for work demands. Remote work isn't just about convenience; it's about creating opportunities for connection and presence in the moments that matter most. Whether it's witnessing celestial events or simply sharing a meal with loved ones, remote work empowers us to be present in both our professional and personal lives. So, as I spent the morning with my boys to witness this cosmic event, I'm grateful for the flexibility that remote work offers and proud that StorageReach prioritizes the well-being and work-life balance of our team members. Wishing everyone a moment of wonder and connection today. #SolarEclipse #RemoteWork #WorkLifeBalance #FamilyTime #StorageReach

Productivity is influenced by many factors, one of which being the time of day when we conduct our work. As we are all different and work best under different conditions, we were curious to know about the time of day that our LinkedIn community members find most productive for work. This is what we found out: 👨💻 🌞 62% of respondents say that they feel most productive at work during the early hours of the morning. Especially when working from home, professionals can enjoy the flexibility of setting their own work schedule as much as possible. Here at #Nobel, most of our roles are fully remote, so team members work from the comfort of their home or from any place they prefer, wherever in the world. ➡Discover all the perks and benefits of working at Nobel by visiting our website: https://lnkd.in/dtSqkrYT #workfromhome #WFH #remotework #technology #tech #LifeAtNobel #multiculturalteam #FunAtWork #joblife #timezones #productivity

A mining CEO, Chris Ellison, wants to keep employees “captive” in the office all day. Is this the most out-of-touch CEO today? No coffee break. No stepping out. No flexible work. Just work, work, work. He thinks it costs too much. So, he’s built a fortress of perks to keep them inside. On-site restaurants, gyms, and daycares justify a strict no-work-from-home policy according to him. But people want more today. Flexibility, trust, and balance. It's not too much to ask for. These have been working great for us and many other companies. More productivity, lots of connection, and a powerful team built remotely. Even if remote work isn't an option, a little flexibility goes a long way Right?

Small appreciation post: In a world where so much is changing, one thing I’m particularly grateful for is the ability to connect and collaborate with talented people across different cities—like NYC, Boston, and Mexico City. Our recent management meeting spanned four cities, highlighting the strength of our global team. Remote work has allowed us to bring together unique talent and perspectives, and it’s been a privilege promote remote work in a context where most major companies are pushing agendas for “back to the office policies”. As we plan for 2025 at Konfront, I’m excited to see how we can continue building on these global connections. #GratefulForRemoteTeams #GlobalPerspective #2025Planning #RemoteWork

The latest research out of UC Berkeley (and related headlines) may leave more wondering if remote work is a "career killer". Before jumping to conclusions, here's to taking a moment to consider individual circumstances. Thanks to Aki Ito for sharing their journey from city to suburb to city again and adding data driven insights to the conversation. It's a good reminder that our geographic career path and opportunities depend on a range of factors, including one's personal situation, role, team, function, company, industry, etc. - and will change over time. Here's also to evolving the conversation so each of us can better understand/weigh our options and make the best decision for ourselves and our circumstances.

Upwork #1 Full-stack Developer (AI, Web, Mobile) in Sydney, NSW | All about coding up wow factors for successful businesses
"You seem to be obsessed with the virtual backgrounds of mountains, beaches, don't you?" That's what I’m always being asked while Google meeting with my #partners. The backgrounds are not virtual, however. They are the nature of NSW, Australia - where I do most of my remote work for the past few years. A thing that’s vital to me is being surrounded by nature. It brings fewer distractions and more creativity. #Remote is not just about skipping the commute or loosened schedule. It’s about doing the stuff that is important to the organization and yourself at the same time. Feels like a win-win for everyone! #business #technology #worklifebalance
