Did you know being postpartum doesn't mean depression? The word postpartum simply refers to the time after giving birth, but it’s often misunderstood. Many think it automatically means depression or anxiety, but that’s not true. Not everyone who is postpartum has a mental health condition. It's important to know that this period can be full of physical and emotional changes, but it doesn’t always mean you’re struggling with postpartum depression. However, if you do start feeling low, anxious, or overwhelmed, it's okay to ask for help. Talking to a healthcare provider, getting support from loved ones, and practicing self-care can make a big difference. How do you take care of your mental health during the postpartum phase? Let me know in the comments below! #motherhood #parenting #depression #mentalhealth
