Highly recommend Jerry Ratcliffe's reducing crime podcast. Interesting guests with real insights, and Jerry has a nice natural interview style, only does in person conversations, and does a good job editing. I have listened to them all, but my favorite is Kim Rossmo's on detective errors. https://lnkd.in/eRXnc2EE So most of my number crunching and evidence based work is in proactive policing, I believe there is just as much potential in improving the detective role though. How to allocate cases in an environment where you need to triage, how to make processes ensure those mistakes aren't made to begin with, monitoring workload, follow up with victims. Plenty of potential.
