Asbestos Awareness and Safety Short Course SafeWork NSW, Building Commission NSW, and TAFE NSW have partnered to provide an online ‘Asbestos Awareness and Safety’ course free to the public to increase awareness of the safety risks relating to asbestos. This short self-directed online course, called a microskill, is aimed at anyone likely to encounter asbestos in their workplace. It is hosted on the Construct NSW digital learning platform, part of a wider suite of courses built in collaboration with the Department of Customer Service and Building Commission NSW. The NSW Government priority is to ensure the safety of workers and the community when managing asbestos. Recent reports of asbestos in mulching products has highlighted the need for readily available asbestos awareness training. The ‘Asbestos Awareness and Safety’ microskill will be free to anyone in Australia for a period of three months, with the potential for extension pending public demand. The https://lnkd.in/gWriX4zt

If you’ve been waiting until after the summer break to update your accreditations, send me a quick message to discuss availability. Now the schools are back it’ll be 2025 before you can say “IOSH Managing Safely”... Additionally, I’m holding a ‘mix and match’ sale on non-accredited training courses. These include awareness courses such as: ✔ Working at height / ladder safety ✔ Manual handling ✔ Coshh (Hazardous Substances) ✔ Legionella awareness. ✔ Asbestos awareness. ✔ DSE (Display Screen Equipment) setting up a workstation (computer) ✔ Introduction to Risk Assessment ✔ Noise Awareness Then also the following behavioural safety courses: ✔ The importance of reporting incidences ✔ Behavioural Safety ✔ Consequences of unsafe acts Mostly these are three-hour courses, so you can ‘buy one get one free’ where course delivery is on the same day. Generally I can accommodate up to 15 people. Just send a quick message for pricing and to get the ball rolling. This offer ends when the clocks change (Sunday 27th October). #healthandsafetytraining
