When should you reach out to potential sponsors? The earlier the better! This gives you a chance to maximize the sponsorship opportunity for them (think multiple emails to attendees leading up the event with their name). Depending on the size of the company, it can take time to get an answer too.

Here is a sponsorship tip for you... When reaching out to potential sponsors, do your homework. What are they up to? Do they have a new product or initiative? Show them you know them by weaving in this knowledge into your outreach. Companies want to know they aren't just a number and you have taken the time to do your homework.

2 types of sponsorship seeker After working with 500 sponsorship seekers to increase revenue… speaking in dozens (hundreds?) of events and workshops… and acting as the subject matter expert for Eventbrite's sponsorship certification course… I’ve realized that those we mostly work with fall into 2 categories. 1. try and fail to make something work, realizing only limited success 2. absolutely MUST make it work otherwise they have to give up on their dream If you fall into either of those categories, let’s talk.
