We are very proud to receive a Leading Employers award and be recognised among the top 1% of UK companies to work for. The Leading Employers award aims to bring clarity to the large range of employer studies and awards. It uses a methodology that reviews an extensive number of sources, feedbacks and topics. By combining all this data, a significantly higher validity than in a stand-alone study can be achieved. Reflecting on this recognition, Tom Millar, Director of People at Reed in Partnership commented: “We have a continuing strategic priority to be a great place to work. This means that we focus on creating a workplace that supports our employees to deliver excellent services to our customers. We do this through a range of activities such as positive reward and recognition, learning and career development. As a business with an ambition to continue to grow and diversify, we value our talented employees and are proud to be recognised within the top 1% of leading employers in the UK.” #LeadingEmployers #Top1%

Career Coach & Recruiting Expert 🌟 Founder of Silver Lining Career Coach 🌟 We can transform your life by guiding you to achieve your fullest career goals
Im going to let you in on a little HR/ Marketing secret… 🤐 For most awards, companies must pay $ to be nominated for a “Best Places to Work” award. It is not organically made. Some companies ask every employee to fill out the survey, while other companies don’t focus on it. So, don’t trust those awards lists… it is not an accurate depiction of the top companies to work for. #careercoach #Silver Lining Career Coach

A client was just recognized as a top employer in their province and I am thrilled for them. About a year ago, a potential client had approached me about becoming a Top Canadian Employer locally. Their new leader had set it as one of their goals to land on the coveted list. But I have to admit that I am very conscious of simply checking the box as a goal versus having an organization actually do the work to be recognized. You see, I see the top employer programs as a business tool to improve the employee experience. Lucky for them, our assessment said they were ready with a high probability of success. Here's our process: - Assessment First - Let's compare your organization to the organizations that have been recognized in the past. Do you compare? Are you even competitive? Should you bother applying for the big award? By assessing first, we can determine whether you should spend the time on the submission or identify gaps that need to be addressed. We can also identify other awards you can start with to build the case for the Top Employer award. We've also helped organizations review their failed submissions. - Submission Support - We helped support the submission process. We think from an evaluator's point of view. What are they looking for? Are you putting relevant information in the submission or filling it with irrelevant noise? We help you fill in the form accurately and provide a supplement that makes it easy to highlight strengths. - Planning Support - If we realize that you don't qualify now, we help you navigate a path with other programs to help you get there. We do have a workshop on relevant Canadian programs that we can present to your #HR and #Communication teams. As someone who helped all of my employers (Compaq, HP and Loblaw) receive the top awards in Canada - Canada's Top 100 Employers, Canada's Most Admired Cultures, Canada's Best Place to Work along with a slew of awards for Community Engagement, Green Employer and DEI Employers - I tend to know what evaluators are looking for. I also know how you navigate the other award programs to support your effort to be recognized as a great employer. I am Priya Bates, President of Inner Strength Communication. We help you enable, engage and empower your employees to manage change and deliver results. We'd love to help.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are essential for today's workforce and the next generation of employees. A Tallo survey reveals that 69% of Gen Zers are more likely to apply to jobs showcasing an ethnically and racially diverse workforce. This underscores the importance of visible diversity and inclusion (I&D) initiatives. Gen Z candidates are asking about I&D during interviews, such as: • “Can you tell me about a recent I&D initiative your organization is most proud of?” • “How does the company support employees from diverse backgrounds?” • “What measures are in place to ensure all voices are heard?” ERGs foster inclusive environments, support underrepresented groups, and drive I&D training, leading to innovation and higher employee satisfaction. SHRM research shows employees in inclusive workplaces are less likely to seek other job opportunities. By prioritizing I&D and supporting ERGs, organizations attract and retain top talent, creating a ripple effect of inclusion and diversity. Together, let's achieve more. We help ambitious businesses achieve a great ROI from their social media marketing strategy so they can grow.
I am excited to chair the West Yorkshire Cornerstone Employer Roundtable. "What is a Cornerstone Employer? The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) Cornerstone Employers are a trailblazing community of more than 300 businesses across England. They work with our Careers Hubs, to support world class careers education at scale in their local region. • A Cornerstone Employer is a business that provides high quality careers outreach and opportunities for young people aligned to the local economy. • Cornerstone Employer Groups work together within a geographical area to target disadvantage, promote pathways, upskill, and inform educators, parents and carers and drive better outcomes for young people. • CEC’s Cornerstone Employer Community are ambassadors of our work and accelerate learning and impact through sharing of best practice and advocacy at the regional and national level. West Yorkshire Cornerstone Employer Group works collectively to deliver more impact, supporting the work of the Careers Hub aligned to CEC’s priorities. The current CEC priorities are in Annex A attached and will be provided annually to Cornerstone Employers." Kim O'Keeffe :)
