What an exhilarating experience it was to be a part of an inspiring session on personal branding and messaging with the incredible Lindsay Yaw Rogers! Special thanks to our incredible connector and champion Jen Scales for organizing it and Gallagher for supporting this powerful group of Women in Finance through their professional and personal journeys. As one of the panelists, I had the opportunity to share my own journey, and in return, I gained invaluable insights into the art of crafting and refining our personal stories and branding. This session highlighted the transformative power of honing our skills, updating our values, and becoming the very best versions of ourselves through continuous feedback, coaching, and self-reflection. For me, authenticity lies at the core of everything I stand for. The values and principles that guide my journey are deeply rooted in being genuine, reliable, and trustworthy. As a leader, I'm fueled by a passionate drive to tackle challenges head-on and find solutions that make the world a better place to live in. As we progress through our careers, our personal brand becomes a beacon of who we are and what we stand for. Through Lindsay Yaw's session, I've come to appreciate the importance of shaping this narrative deliberately and consciously, ensuring that my story reflects the growth, evolution, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines my journey. This past year, I have felt and seen an incredible momentum of women supporting other women and Jen Scales's efforts is a huge testament to that momentum. Here's to embracing change, embracing growth, and crafting a personal brand that resonates with our truest selves. I do a lot of work that most don't see when it comes to making sure Black Women are seen, heard and supported. To be awarded the title of Organization of The Year during a time when orgs and people who support and uplift Black Women isn't small. A lot of us (Black Women Business Owners) are left wondering if the last three years we saw as support was just "for show".
