Red flag or a good understanding of using OPM? "Hey Jeff, we're launching ABC and we're doing a small private raise of $1M from our networks. Two founders have multiple 8 figure exits and our board consists of family office executives, multiple 9 exit entrepreneurs and a unicorn founder. Minimum investment is $50k and we're selling 20% equity. Terms and additional information is in the deal room attached here... let me know if you'd be interested in joining us." Compelling pitch, organized, offered terms and a deal room, but... $1M to that type of pedigree is chump change if they all kicked in $200k. So, red flag that they may be completely full of shit or they've been there and done that before and are just using OPM because they can? ***FYI, this was a cold pitch but I do know the founder so I'll keep my opinion to myself for now.
