Source: Good Housekeeping From the article: "During the month of June, you'll see LGBTQ+ pride gear everywhere. From apparel with witty sayings, to collectible Starbucks tumblers to a variety of Pride flags waving from businesses and homes alike. But what about every other month? In a time when LGBTQ+ rights are under attack nationwide, especially for trans and gender-nonconforming people, showing the community that you care all year is so important." #Pride #LGBTQ #Queer #QueerBusiness #ShopQueer #LGBTQBusiness #ShopLGBTQ #Business #Businesses

Reacting to 2023’s backlashes and boycotts, some brands have avoided Pride 2024 despite a clear commercial and moral imperative: globally, LGBTQ+ spending power rose by 20.5% between 2019 and 2023. But others are winning fans by digging in, surfacing hidden histories, creating sanctuaries, centring family (biological and chosen) and taking an educative role. 🌈 Celebrating Pride Month: A Personal Reflection 🌈 As we step into Pride Month, I find myself reflecting on what this time means to me—not just as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but as someone who values diversity, acceptance, and love in all areas of life. June is Pride month. Commemorating the Stonewall riots, Pride Month is an inclusive celebration that honours our community, our history, achievements, and ongoing struggle for equality. I often come across posts across various social media platforms from people making statements such as "When is straight month?", "Why should they get an entire month to throw it down our throats?" or "It's disgusting and inhuman". It's these very comments that show why we still need to keep fighting for equality. This serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, diversity, and love. It brings together individuals, organisations, and communities to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and celebrate the progress made towards a more inclusive society. Lead with kindness, Love is Love. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Diversity #Inclusion #LoveIsLove #Authenticity #Community #ExpressYourTrueColors#PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Diversity #Inclusion #Equality #Pride2024

Happy pride month! 🏳️🌈❤️ As we step into this vibrant month of celebration, I want to take a moment to reflect on the importance of visibility for queer individuals in the office space. As a proud lesbian and poly person, I understand the profound impact that being seen and acknowledged can have on an individual. It's about more than just being present; it's about creating a space where we can all feel safe, supported, and free to express our true selves without fear. While we celebrate Pride, we must also confront the rise in hate crimes in Norway (as well as the rest of the world), a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle for true equality. Let's stand united against such hate and advocate for a society where love and acceptance prevail. Visibility matters. It paves the way for understanding, acceptance, and change. This Pride, let's commit to fostering an environment where every voice is heard, every identity is respected, and every person can thrive. Here's to celebrating our unique journeys and the collective progress we've made. #Pride #Inclusivity #Visibility
Wishing everyone a Happy Pride Month! “Here at Crayon, we support the LGBTQ+ community as a proud ally and inclusive company,” said CEO Melissa Mulholland. “Our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion helps us embrace what makes us strong—our differences. Pride isn’t just a time to show support, but also a time to celebrate the accomplishments and acknowledge the challenges of LGBTQ+ people throughout history. Diversity comes in many forms, and it is essential that we recognize people’s different perspectives because they enrich our own experiences.” #Crayon #Pride #Diversity

In honor of #pridemonth2024, I wanted to share some relevant financial and estate planning guidance throughout the month: 14. Set and review financial (and legacy) goals. Goal-setting is a critical part of all financial planning, but, with evolving social, professional, and family circumstances for LGBTQ individuals and families, it is more important than ever that we think about how to plan for success and have champions and advisors along the way. Being LGBTQ at work, in dynamic family structures, and impacting our society in inclusive ways requires us to be intentional about our values and strategies for accomplishing our goals. Having a team of advisors who understand how to help these clients set and achieve these goals can be a critical part of the estate and financial planning process. #intentionalplanning. #goalsetting. #LGBTQ.

New Episode! Dominic Arnall - Open for Business (Disney, Bud Light, and the Business Case for LGBT+ Inclusion) https://lnkd.in/ganpsGZX In this episode I’m talking to Dominic Arnall, CEO of Open for Business, an international coalition dedicated to working with the business community to advance LGBT+ rights globally. Open for Business advances LGBT+ inclusion and creates change in three ways – by constructing and promoting the economic business case, by catalyzing a global business voice on LGBT+ inclusion, and by mobilizing local business leaders to advance LGBT+ inclusion. We talk about some of their initiatives, their research, the practice of corporate pinkwashing, some of the best and worst places to do business, how companies support the LGBT+ community in ways that aren’t necessarily visible, how the US right-wing attacks on LGBT+ supportive business could impact the community, as well as business practices around the world, Ron DeSantis' war against Disney, The right-wing war against Dylan Mulvaney and Bud Light,if we could be experiencing an emerging paradigm that pits an LGBT+ positive economic model against an anti-LGBT+ model, and more. #lgbtqia #lgbtqcommunity #lgbtqpride #pinkwashing #europe #unitedstates #florida #rondesantis #disney #budlight #malta #singapore #caribbean #sanfrancisco #transrights #uk #russia #china #queerrights #pride #pridemonth #target #starbucks #bias #discriminationlaw #hatecrimes #rightwing

Happy PRIDE Month! 🌈 With June now upon us, it's crucial to remember why PRIDE exists. PRIDE isn't just about celebration and joy; it's a powerful testament to visibility, equality, and resilience. In a world where the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals are still debated, where their existence is often met with hostility, and where equality is not yet a reality, PRIDE stands as a defiant assertion of identity and rights. It's a reminder that everyone deserves to love and be loved, without fear. This PRIDE, let's amplify our support and educate those around us. Let's advocate for policies that protect LGBTQ+ rights and foster an environment where no one has to hide who they are or who they love. Businesses, leaders, and each one of us have a role to play in shaping a world that upholds dignity and equality for all. Let's use this month to commit not just to celebration, but to ongoing support and action. Because PRIDE is more than a month; it's a movement towards a future where everyone can truly be themselves. Together, let's make it loud and clear: Love is love, and everyone's rights should be equal. 🏳️🌈 #ICON #ICONPride #PrideMonth #Pride #Inclusion #Diversity

June is an awareness month of visibility, acceptance, and celebrating diversity. #Pride is a reminder of a huge turning point for LGBTQ+ rights and a chance to be thankful for the trailblazers who paved the way for changes all those years ago. 🙏 "The benefit of standing up for your rights is that others see you standing up - and then stand shoulder to shoulder with you." When it comes to creating positive, inclusive cultures, we know that it's more than just rainbow logos; it's about fostering genuine acceptance, implementing inclusive policies, providing education and support, and actively challenging discrimination to ensure everyone feels valued and respected year-round. That’s why we’ve dipped into #GECKnowHow, the biggest collection of DEI resources* - for everyone, to highlight brilliant books, popular podcasts and fantastic films for Pride month and beyond: https://lnkd.in/egSCfpuj #bookrecommenations #DEI #diversity #inclusion #equality #LGBTQ+ #representationmatters #InclusionRevolution #pridemonth *we’re pretty sure it is
