Recap of our plenary session Harnessing the Power of our Planet’s Stories 📽️🌎 Storytelling is as old as humankind. In a world of AI it’s a leadership tool that’s as important now as it’s ever been to inspire action towards a net zero and nature positive future. 🍃 Storytelling through documentary filmmaking and science-based journalism can change the way we think, feel and act towards safeguarding the Earth. 🍃 If you want to make the world equitable you have to tell people’s stories, so grab your audience’s attention by finding ways to emotionally and intellectually engage with them through narrative and emotion. 🍃 Know your audience - whether it’s people watching a massive Netflix documentary or a film for a tiny room of policymakers tasked with deciding our futures. 🍃 To reach the key decision makers who will determine the future of the planet you have to frame the story on what they care about - and that may be money. With Colin butfield, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Studio Silverback and co-founder of Open Planet. Rhett Ayers Butler, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mongabay Moderator Christine E. Looser, Director, Solution Design, Minerva Project #VillarsSymposium #Storytelling #Narrative #ScienceJournalism

I love the power of a six-word story! Always leaves me curious and wanting to know more.
