It’s not just a moment to honor our values of inclusion, resilience and working together, as well as a time for reflection, and gratitude. 💖 Some fun facts about Canada ✨Unlike many countries, our celebration isn’t about a war, but a peaceful request to Queen Victoria by the Upper & Lower colonies of Canada to form our own nation. ✨The second largest country in the world. ✨One of the longest highways in the world and the longest coastline is in Canada. ✨Basketball was invented by a Canadian. ✨We have more lakes than any other country. ✨Canada is famous for Niagara Falls, Banff, and the Northern Lights. ✨We’re a major producer of maple syrup. ✨Poutine originated in Quebec. ✨Canadians are known for tolerance, sensitivity, political correctness, being polite, saying ‘sorry’ & ‘eh’ ✨The beaver is Canada’s national animal. ✨Our border with the US is the longest unprotected border in the world. ✨Often known for its cold winters. Coldest recorded temp: -63 degrees C ✨Famous Canadians: Michael J. Fox, William Shatner, Martin Short, Jim Carrey, Celine Dion, and more, plus ‘The Rick Mercer Report’ is a must watch for Canadian satire. As in most countries, it wasn’t all glory. If this guy ever had to go out and purchase groceries, he might consider all the farmers harvesting the food in his cart, that have to pay carbon tax to grow and harvest our food. Then the trucking companies that deliver the food must buy gas with a carbon tax associated with each item increasing their costs. Canadian consumer's cost of a trip to the grocery store has more than doubled in the last three years. Then everyone in this country needs to heat their homes it hurts common Canadians every day. Why don't we eliminate carbon pricing it is not reducing worldwide emissions it only reduces Canadian emissions. Focus on research and development inside our Canadian Energy companies to find alternative energies and deliver the cleanest possible energy to the world. That will do more for the environment, the people of this great country, and the world. Canada needs more clean Canadian oil and gas. Every company that I deal with daily is concerned about the well-being of their employees and about the well-being of our world's environment! Trudeau you just don't get it, (it is not about a sweet UN posting into your retirement) what you are doing is harming everyone in this country and not helping the Environment. Get rid of him.
The difference is clear: while Pierre Poilievre wants to take Canada backward, we’ll keep Canada moving forward – for everyone.

I don’t usually post personal things on LinkedIn, but today, as I celebrate Canada Day, I find myself reflecting on this incredible country’s past, present, and future, as well as my family’s place in it. Not many people know this, but I was not born in Canada. My parents immigrated to Canada when I was young, and I watched them make countless sacrifices and work long hours in odd jobs just to get our family by. They did this because they believed in the Canadian dream. I am a living embodiment of that dream. The level of social mobility I have experienced within my relatively short lifetime would have been impossible anywhere else. Regardless of whether someone immigrated 20 years ago or 200, the dream has always been the same. For millions of people, both in-country and abroad, Canada is a beacon of hope—hope for a just and free society, and hope that no matter who you are and where you come from, a better future is possible. I recognize that Canada is not perfect. Like many countries, it has a complex history full of injustice and tragedy. However, we, as a society, have recognized these mistakes and are actively working to do better. Canada has made tremendous progress, and that is the true hallmark of any great nation. I love Canada, but I am also concerned for its future. The freedom and democracy we often take for granted were hard-fought and, if not protected, can easily be lost. The Canadian dream is becoming increasingly out of reach. The values and unity that made this country great are slowly eroding. Nevertheless, like my parents, and generations of Canadians before them, I have hope that a better future is possible. With that, I would like to wish my network a joyful Canada Day and a happy birthday to the greatest country in the world!
