It's The Blue Box Greater Week! From May 13th to 18th, the President of the United States declared Women’s Health Week.
👏 We highly commend these initiatives; they will help address the shocking gap in research and investment in women's health-related issues, and we need to do something about it. 💪
⬇️ Check out the thoughts of some leaders on this matter:

We asked leaders at the NYSE Women's Health Summit to explain what women's health means to them.
Their answers provide a powerful reminder -- that when more women have a seat at the table, we can make more advancements in key areas, including women's health.
My "Ah Ha" moment came in 2017. The data on disparities in women's health, maternal mortality, and the lost potential of individual women and society knocked me off my track. I got a new track->focused on improving the lives of women through women-centered science and innovation. Some really cool people are on this journey too! Check it out :) #womenshealth#healthequity#genderequity

My role at Women As One was my first career move outside of the sports sector. It was a career move made to support my personal life goals, and thankfully, it still perfectly aligned with my driving motivation - eliminating inequality.
In my two years in the health sector, I have learned a Lot about the gender inequalities within (but sadly, I’m still scratching the surface). From the plethora of inequalities, discrimination and harassment experienced by women physicians, the physician mental health crisis, self-perpetuating healthcare systems built by and for men, the under-funding and under-researching of sex differences and the negative impact on patient care, the symptoms of women patients being dismissed by healthcare providers as minor ailments rather than being investigated thoroughly to rule out more serious issues… and honestly I will be missing out plenty.
Some days, fighting against a beast like that feels impossible. But then I see things like this video, and it gives me hope (and goosebumps!). There are women all around the world coming together, not willing to settle for less and pushing for change. Not just because it’s the right thing to do (which it is, by the way), but because fundamentally, when women have equality, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 benefits.

"Charting the way forward in 5:
1. Invest in women-centric research across the research and development (R&D) continuum to fill the gaps in women-specific conditions, as well as diseases affecting women differently and/or disproportionately.
2. Strengthen the systematic collection, analysis and reporting of sex- and gender-specific data to establish a more accurate representation of women’s health burden and evaluate the impact of different interventions.
3. Increase access to women-specific care in all areas, from prevention to treatment. (Continuum of care)
4. Create incentives for investment in areas of women’s health innovation and develop new financing models (Outcomes based financing)
5. Implement policies supporting women’s health." (Policy and Politics)
