With over 120 years of history, Birdcage Walk has become too expansive for our current needs, leading to substantial maintenance costs. Consequently, we've been actively exploring various avenues for the future of our headquarters. Later this year, we plan to conduct a member vote regarding the building's future. These webinars aim to provide members with the opportunity to enquire about and gain insights into the extensive research conducted on Birdcage Walk's options, as well as to clarify the subsequent steps forward. We are hosting three webinars open to members only: 🔴 Future of Birdcage Walk - 8 May 2024, 12PM https://bit.ly/4aHIzfI 🔴 Future of Birdcage Walk - 8 May 2024, 5-6 PM https://bit.ly/3Uv0FMk 🔴 Future of Birdcage Walk - 9 May 2024, 8-9AM https://bit.ly/3xNWum9

📣 Parking Reform Network Tune into experts Getting Real About Spillover Parking hosted by SPUR tomorrow! What happens after parking requirements are significantly reduced or eliminated. Will spillover parking happen? What to do when it does? Car parking is the single largest land asset to collectively rethink and retool access to it, for massive benefit to the greater good. By pricing parking or introducing parking permit districts, we can get more parking certainty, security AND pay for mobility infrastructure and services for those who don't want to or can't drive. It is easier than ever to quantify transportation policy impacts on climate, social equity and economy. Policy makers need to ask how different transportation investments stack up to meet multiple goals. Improving ease of access to parking is one of many goals. Key is defining equity priority audiences ahead of time and delineating benefits and costs by income bracket. Policy shapers need to design programs and present information that is easy to understand by as diverse an audience as possible. #Cleariskind Thanks to PolicyLink's #equityatlas https://lnkd.in/g5KT3Qnt its very easy to see vehicle ownership by race and income for every city in the country. This is the most important audience to identify and invite to any conversation on equitable transportation. #parkingmatters #equity #costofhousing #costofeverything #climateprotection #airquality.
