Connecting employers with my unique network of veterans and people with disabilities (especially blindness). More relevant candidates, tax credits, and better retention. Doing well by doing good! Let's talk.
The work I do in support of veterans, military spouses, and people with disabilities is national (and beyond) in scope but it's always nice to get recognition locally. If you've ever wondered what I do or why I do it, this Chapin Neighbors Magazine article will answer some questions: https://lnkd.in/esTZY5Tb

What did 20 years of GWOT cost us in terms of the public trust and is that the root cause of our recruiting problems today? Fellow SOF veteran Ethan B. sat down and talked about his recent article for the Modern War Institute at West Point "The Ghost of GWOT Haunting the Military Recruiting Crisis". Check out his insights on how the public perception of the military has shifted over the past two decades and the impact it's having on recruiting efforts today. #GWOT #MilitaryRecruiting #PublicTrust #MilitaryPerception #MWI

The New Milford, CT Mayor proudly violating the Flag Code. The comments are interesting. One said that national flags must be flown from separate masts. ⭐That's correct! A reply to that comment was "the other flags aren't on the mast." ❌That's just ignorance. @newmilfordct It's much easier to understand the application of the Flag Code with a pole or mast that does not have a crosstree and more halyards, I get that. National flags are NEVER flown from the halyards on which you see the flags of Canada and Mexico. Absolutely never. Those halyards are for state, county, and city flags, signal pennants and military unit flags only. The mast halyard is for the national and the another (state or POW) if the crosstree does not interfere with the second flag. I'm conclusion... Flying national flags below another flag, directly or (here) indirectly is highly insulting to the other countries. As a government official, a Mayor is required to adhere to the government's published standards. But, I'm just all tied up in regs and standards. 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals! No sh*t... Ya think? Especially since none were ever completed. For that matter, neither would the Fletcher Class Destroyers, the Essex Class Carriers and/or the Baltimore Class Cruisers... Same with the Kon Tiki and SS Minnow. Are all of these Chief Editors and publications that starved for content that they actually solicit shallow, filler pieces like this or are they secretly in cahoots with each other to see which publication can continously and continually waste all of its readers' time by publishing the most "captain obvious" and / or sophmoric / neophytic piece of drivel? This historical fiction-esque article has the intellectual depth of badly translated Chinese VCR instructions and the martial relevancy of a Hand Turkey holding a pointed stick or Pack 10s Rain-Gutter Regatta secret hull design. Next up: Laura Ingalls Wilder would be no match against Mike Tyson's right hook / uppercut.

https://lnkd.in/gSY67Fqq My first op-ed and a topic I am passionate about. I know that I am on the right side of history with this idea. But I also know the Space Force JAG Corps won’t exist in my military career’s lifetime. The Great Power Competition discussion this week brings up a key issue worth highlighting. Space Futures Command will be established, but where will we find the additional space-minded JAGs to support it? New space component commands exist in Europe, the Pacific, and soon to be almost every AOR. But most of these will go without dedicated space lawyers. It’s time to change that.
