For over seven years, Zandile Ntlokwana has been a tireless advocate for the transformation of the built environment, championing equitable access for women and young people. Her journey began with a deep interest in the strides women were making in construction, leading her to join the South African Women in Construction SAWIC, now known as the South African Women in Construction and the Built Environment SAWIC&BE. Inspired by the organization’s work, Zandile brought her company, ASAKHE ZIBULA HOLDINGS (AZH), into the construction arena. AZH is a conglomerate with a six-year track record in repairs and maintenance, general building, and project management services. As the Managing Director of AZH and through her involvement in various organizations within the Built Environment, Zandile has come to understand the privilege and responsibility of being part of Infrastructure Development and the Built Environment at large. She has served in multiple leadership roles, including SAWIC&BE Gauteng Chapter Deputy Secretary, Gauteng Youth Treasurer, and Deputy Secretary General at the national level. Most recently, she chaired the Marketing and Communications Subcommittee at the BLACK BUSINESS COUNCIL IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT (BBCBE). With nearly a decade of experience in the industry, Zandile has been driven to find AZH’s niche, ultimately positioning the company in the Social Facilitation space. Her commitment to creating livable, walkable, and creative communities fuels her passion for making a tangible impact on society through infrastructure development.
