Let’s be honest, I am NOT a fan of Rep. Chip Roy. But he has some excellent questions here and it is time for this data to get out. Moreover, AOC is a complete and utter waste of space and her commentary here as a witness would need a rocket ship to reach deplorable! The Tail Pipe legislation is NOT a good move for legislation to take. Increasing EVs is NOT a good move for the Federal Goverment to mandate! With the brown outs in Texas and California, the delivery problems in electricity, and the other assorted energy issues, why isn’t America building refineries, electric power plants, and mining?

Ioneer Ltd. (ASX:INR, OTC:GSCCF, NASDAQ:IONR) is making steady progress on the Rhyolite Ridge Project in Nevada, US, having recently completed 53 drill holes over the southern extent of the lithium-boron deposit. The company is also anticipating the publication of the draft Environmental Impact Study (DEIS) for Rhyolite Ridge in the coming weeks, as the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and cooperating agencies have completed their review. Post-publication there will be a routine 45-day public comment period during which the BLM will hold public meetings – comments will be considered where appropriate and incorporated into a final environmental impact study to be released ahead of a Record of Decision (ROD). A team of geologists say they may have found the largest Lithium deposit in the world (as much as 20 to 40 million tons of lithium metal) inside an extinct volcano in Nevada. In recent times, lithium has become “more valuable than gold” as the quest to build battery-powered vehicles has accelerated. This find could change the dynamics of lithium globally, in terms of price, security of supply, and geopolitics as reported by CleanTechnica. https://bit.ly/48o3HXB #lithium #batteries #limetal #EV #eMobility

Bradda Head Lithium (AIM:BHL, TSXV:BHLI) executive chairman Ian Stalker speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London following the conclusion of the exploration company's annual general meeting. Stalker says that despite challenging financial conditions, the AGM was well attended and characterised by strong support for all resolutions, reflecting a high level of confidence in the management. Focusing on survival and efficient spending, the company has streamlined operations and reduced overheads, ensuring the longevity of its financial resources. Stalker goes on to discuss some impressive recent metallurgical test results from the company's #SanDomingo project in #Arizona. He suggests that the project is particularly noteworthy, given the increasing demand for domestic #lithium production in the U.S. for electric vehicle batteries. Bradda Head's Basin Project is also discussed, and Stalker says the company is currently holding 1 million tonnes of #LithiumCarbonate equivalent. The goal is to increase this to 2.5 million tonnes, with a prospective additional funding of $3 million from a lithium royalty agreement. This expansion aligns with the company's strategy to enhance shareholder value without needing additional capital at depressed market prices. Stalker also suggests that he fully intends to step aside once #BraddaHead has completed its search for a new CEO. I wrote an article for Mining Magazine about the FAST-41 Act published on Jan 17, 2024, on this law that could revive the mining industry in the USA. The act aims to streamline the environmental and permitting reviews for major infrastructure projects, including mines. Article discusses the metal sourcing issues with the F-35 fighter plane for samarium cobalt - a metal that makes that plane fly literally - as a security concern that triggered a later Critical Metals fund controlled by the US Airforce in the US Pentagon. I interviewed two Republican Senators: Lisa Murkowski and John Barrasso. In particular, Senator Lisa Murkowski shared her clear views on how the act could boost US metal security and reduce the reliance on foreign sources. #miningmagazine hashtag #mining hashtag #miningengineering hashtag #miningnews hashtag #mininginvestment hashtag #US hashtag hashtag #America hashtag hashtag #Mining hashtag hashtag #Regulation hashtag hashtag #News hashtag #nationalsecurity Senator Murkowski, who authored most of the amendments to the act, was particularly vocal about the problems of the current permitting system in the USA early in the interview questions. Here is what she said in the interview: “The US federal permitting process is broken, and on any given day, it can be any number of things that go wrong. The abrupt shifts in policy between administrations, agency delays, slowness to process paperwork, a simple question on a requested payment, litigation—those are just a few of the challenges that all too often add months or years to this process.” US Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Where did your mines go, American? - Mining Magazine #ussenate #USA #us #mining #metals #criticalmetals #defenseindustry #nbc #miningmagazine hashtag #mining hashtag #miningengineering hashtag #miningnews hashtag #mininginvestment hashtag #US hashtag #America hashtag #Regulation hashtag #News hashtag #nationalsecurity https://lnkd.in/eRXYCGyy

#StockBox #GMET StockBox caught up with Oliver Friesen CEO Golden Metal Resources Plc following the announcement earlier today of Significant Garnet Potential at the Pilot Mountain Project. Watch below ⬇ https://lnkd.in/euXZkzN5 ➡ Discovery of significant garnet potential at the Pilot Mountain project has exceeded initial expectations, presenting a promising industrial resource opportunity. ➡ The garnet, constituting up to 40-50% of mineralized intervals, offers unique economic advantages, including early extraction via gravity or magnetic separation, reducing operational costs and enhancing project economics. ➡ Whilst Pilot Mountain remains primarily a #tungsten project crucial for national security, the substantial garnet credit adds considerable value, prompting plans for further exploration to incorporate garnet data into future studies and maximize project potential.

The ability for battery-electric technology to reduce emissions is well-known, but in underground mining environments like at Cannington, electrifying vehicles and other equipment has the potential for other significant benefits. Replacing diesel vehicles and equipment with battery-electric technology can improve air quality and reduce heat and vibrations, offering potential safety and performance benefits, as well as scope for cost savings over the long term. But as with anything in an underground mine, there are many unique challenges to address and solve. The team at Cannington is currently undertaking a trial of battery-electric machines – including three Bortana light vehicles, as pictured here, as well as a Batt Mobile Equipment loader – which will provide important learnings for Cannington, our broader business, and our partners and peers.
