Did you enjoy the #Paris2024Olympics? The excitement continues as the #Paris2024Paralympics begin! Today we're highlighting a fund in The Trust dedicated to helping young people through sports and academics. Each year, the Heisman Memorial Trophy is awarded to America’s most talented player in college football. Recipients of the award include Roger Staubach, Barry Sanders, and Tim Tebow. In 1936, The Downtown Athletic Club named the award after John Heisman, its first athletic director. When the Downtown Athletic Club closed in 2002, The Heisman Trust took stewardship of the trophy’s distribution. In 2017, The Heisman Trust partnered with The Trust to establish the Heisman Trophy Fund for Youth Development, which supports nonprofits who engage young people in athletic activities such as fencing and figure skating. Leave a Legacy ❤️ If, like us, volleyball has been an incredibly positive and valuable part of your life and you’d like to help others who might not have that chance to experience the profound impact that sport can have, then a gift in your Will can continue the Foundation’s efforts and leave a legacy of support to all those that come after you. By deciding to remember us in your Will, you'll help our team be there to support and guide all ages, all abilities, all across England. Why should I leave a gift to the Foundation? If you believe in supporting future generations in volleyball then leaving a gift in your Will to us is a great way to help us do just that. Gifts we receive make a real difference to developing the sport from grassroots right through to performance level. Your gift will always matter. Can I decide how I would like my gift to be used? Gifts that are 'unrestricted' (i.e. that we can use wherever they'll make the biggest difference) are the most valuable to us as they can be used where they're most urgently needed. You can also leave a gift in your Will to a particular area or campaign, please just get in touch. What type of gift can I leave? We're hugely grateful for every gift and there are three main types of gift you can leave: A residuary legacy is a percentage of whatever is left over from an estate after debts, funeral expenses, administration costs, and all other gifts have been paid. This can be any percentage you like. Many people choose this type of gift as it ensures their loved ones are taken care of first. A pecuniary legacy is a fixed sum of money that can be any amount, big or small. A specific legacy is a gift of a particular item, such as property or an item of jewellery. Something tells us that after yesterday's 13th Annual JLL Real Estate Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament (congrats to the winners!) and a demanding morning, your minds are already on the weekend 😎 And we don't blame you!—we were there too! That's why we recommend checking out more books from our library. This time, our CEO, Tom—one of the biggest bookaholics on our team—shares his picks 🔥. On the list https://lnkd.in/drXSmcWU , you'll find: 📖 one book he’s read 3 or more times, 📖 one book he’s read twice, 📖 one book he’s read once, 📖 and one book he likes to jump across. Because more is better, right? In the photo: the library at the Grupa Pracuj office (source: press materials). Nice, isn't it? 🙃 If you have a book nook set up at your place, share a photo in the comments.

As most of you will know, Streatham-Croydon R.F.C. is one of the oldest rugby clubs in the world. Despite our legacy, we are sadly facing a multitude of challenges on all fronts, which has culminated in a serious financial situation. Without significant support, we could be forced to close our doors for good. We are proud to operate in an area of south London not always known for its rugby. We’re an inclusive, diverse club, offering free Easter and summer holiday camps to hundreds of local children, and provision of pitches free-of-charge for local schools that have no playing fields and to a wide variety of community groups. Our ambition and grit can be seen across every section of the club. Highlights from this season include: Men - The 1st XV have had a brilliant season achieving promotion to Counties 3, their 2nd promotion in 3 years. The 2nd XV Scorpions continue to grow, and training numbers remain high each week. Women - The Ladies 1st XV finished 2nd in their first season in Championship 2 (tier 3 of women’s rugby in the country). The Ladies 2nd XV have made history and completed their first season in a league, with many picking up a ball for the first time in 2023/24. Juniors - The Junior section is thriving; the U18 Colts are getting off the ground, and there is growth across the junior boys, junior girls (soon to play at the Stoop!), and minis sections. Why we need your help: Like other clubs, the cost of living crisis has hit us hard and our utility bills have skyrocketed. Kit, ground maintenance, coach training, clubhouse maintenance expenses, post-game food - all of this has become an increasing challenge. How you can help: We are in desperate need of a short-term fix and this is where your help is key. If you are able to donate - £10, £50, £100, £200, £500, £1,000 – this will all add up to our target of £20,000 to keep the club running. Donate via the link today to help us keep rugby accessible to those who need the game the most! https://lnkd.in/gFZTScw8

I Collaborate with Coaches, Teachers and Administrators to RAISE and KEEP more funding than ever before!
Meet Coach Baldwin from Aliso Niguel High School Flag Football. A week ago, I randomly walked onto the campus and ran into their staff and parent liaison. They were about to pay a high fee + percentage to another vendor and I mentioned what we do. IT is the WHY of what we do that pulled them in and caused their minds to pause and reflect. Yes, we help teams keep all that they raise through a unique model... But it is the impact of what this can do for days/months/years for a team. Check out what Coach had to say below that I filmed on their launch day. Yes, their fundraising numbers are soaring, but that's not what this post will be centered on. More and more programs are tired of giving away too huge of a split that their kids help to raise... Time is one thing coaches and group leaders can't get back and we maximize this for your program to ensure your program gets the funding it needs and deserves. What other programs in Orange County and San Diego need this impact? EVERY SINGLE ONE... Let's collaborate and do something different with your program this year! https://lnkd.in/gvddHgCF

✨ Have you ever watched Paralympic Sitting Volleyball? ✨ Take a moment to check out this incredible clip of USA Volleyball Women facing China in the Paris 2024 Gold Medal match—where they secured their third straight gold! 🏅🏅🏅 The pace is electric, the skill is mind-blowing, and the passion? Unmatched. But what’s truly inspiring is the journey behind the game. These women are not just athletes—they’re balancing careers, family, and the demands of competing on the international stage. And here’s the thing: they aren’t doing it for the money. Like many Olympic and Paralympic athletes, their motivation runs deeper. When you support organizations like the USA Volleyball Foundation you’re doing more than just funding a sport. You’re empowering athletes like these women with limb differences to be role models, showing young amputees—and girls everywhere—that they, too, can dream big and achieve greatness. It’s not just about winning medals; it’s about showing what’s possible on the biggest stage. 🏐💪 Let’s celebrate and support these incredible women, paving the way for future generations. As my 50th Birthday-50k steps-$50,000 fundraiser kicks off, this is one of the organizations I will be raising money for. Keep following along the journey! #Paralympics #SittingVolleyball #USAVolleyball #Inspiration #AdaptiveSports #WomenInSports

🌟 We're excited to share an important conversation featuring Play for Dignity board member, Marco Di Buono, President of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, during his recent appearance on TVO's The Agenda with Steve Paikin. In this discussion, Marco highlighted the urgent need for systemic solutions to make sport accessible to all children. As Marco noted, "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘵... 𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘢, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺...𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤." We couldn't agree more. Play for Dignity was established to help find solutions to the systemic challenges faced by Canada’s sport and physical activity ecosystem. A systemic approach helps us to unpack why barriers persist, how they're interrelated, and how each part of the ecosystem can address these challenges. It is not enough to identify short-term fixes; we need a long-term strategy that enshrines the right to sport, play, and physical activity for all in Canada. We're excited to embark on this journey and invite you to join us! Stay connected by following us and signing up for our newsletter to be part of the conversation as we work together to identify systemic challenges and build solutions that make sport accessible for every child. 💪🏽 #RightToPlay #YouthSports #HumanRights #PlayForDignity #SportsForAll #EquityInSports
