Future Pharmacist | Tutor | Studying at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Masaryk University Brno | Interested in 3D print and AI for pharmaceutical use
JOB FAIR 2024 💊 Today, Farmaceutická fakulta Masarykovy univerzity with Pharmaceutical Students´Union brought employers, recruiters and student together to one place and that is Job Fair 2024. Pontential employees a.k.a. us students are able to get small gifts, ofc 😅, but basically have the option to ask where is their next step in their carrer. This may be the most crucial event in the life of every Pharmacy student, as this might be the only option where to get the opportunity to see that there are a lot of options for a future Pharmacy graduate. Often I see, that most public job fairs are more focused on business, IT and HR, although less on health management. Hopefully, our university will manage to continue with this event for future students. Today's companies: Sanovia, a.s. (Moje lékárna), Dr.Max Česko, BENU Česká republika s.r.o., EUC a.s., Chytrá lékárna, Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine and Faculty Hospital Motol, Prague, and many more... #opentowork, #jobfair, #2024, #MUNI, #pharmacy

We recently supported Horizon Health Network in preparation for a job fair, and let's just say, it went swimmingly! They used our platform to create a lightning-fast landing page with a simple application form. Horizon Health strategically placed the QR code throughout their booth, encouraging interested candidates to scan it and apply on the spot. The results? Everyone was surprised! Applicants loved the hassle-free application process, and Horizon Health was impressed by the high volume of qualified leads. Here's what Horizon Health had to say: "It went really well. We drove home the quick app QR and honestly, everyone was suspicious because it was SO EASY." Want to see similar results at your next job fair? Look no further than CandidateHub! Yesterday I had the immense pleasure of revisiting my beloved old school (The Henrietta Barnett School) to speak to Year 10 students and up about healthcare communications at their Careers Fair. I wish we'd had something like this when I was at school, to open my eyes to the spectrum of possible careers out there, (if I hadn't been manning my stand, I would have loved to speak to the other 'adults' there!). A few things it made me reflect on... 1. Unless you know someone directly in the field, no one has heard of healthcare comms - and yet for the students I spoke to yesterday who are really torn between their love of science and the arts, it really is such a perfect mix. It brought home the responsibility to spread the word at schools and at universities - particularly if we want to empower a more diverse talent pool in the years to come. Watch this space for more from 67health on this...! 2. The internal pressure on 15 year olds to decide what they want to do for a career is very real. Despite the fact that the average person goes through 3-7 careers before they retire, there's an expectation among the people I spoke to yesterday that they need it all figured out by the time they apply for uni. Why? Rigid grad scheme requirements may be part of it. As employers, there's a lot more we can do to communicate the multiple routes into any industry. I was told by my first recruiter that healthcare comms required a science degree (which I don't have). Really thinking about essential versus desirable characteristics is on employers to communicate about carefully... 3. So much of my advice yesterday was to reiterate what my parents had always told me (...work is what you spend the most time on, follow your passions and find what you love, the rest will follow). Easy to say perhaps, but it dictated my course of action and delivered! Made me realise just how important those early conversations on career are in how we frame work What an event - congratulations to HBS! I'm as impressed and inspired by the school as I ever was!
