Wm Paul Young "The word 'change' normally refers to new beginnings. But transformation, the mystery we’re examining, more often happens not when something new begins but when something old falls apart. The pain of something old falling apart—chaos—invites the soul to listen at a deeper level. It invites and sometimes forces the soul to go to a new place because the old place is falling apart." John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The Basics 1. Transformation is not comfortable ... and that's ok. 2. Focus on your character development over your comfort. 3. Know what you're aiming at and why. 4. Get into purposeful action to create a new capacity. The Lesson While "comfort" sounds good in the immediate, and can be OK in smaller doses, it isn't possible to stay comfortable and change. Not all "pain" is bad. Transformation and growth occur by going through some amount of adversity that can feel like things are falling apart. Assess which matters more to you ... comfort or internal development. If you put your comfort first, you will sacrifice your best version when it requires going through perceived pain of temporary discomfort associated with transformation. However, the greater you put effort into character development, the greater you will expand your comfort zone, and ultimately achieve the comfort you seek. Start by creating / reviewing the best version of you (your top 5 - 10 character assets you wish to master) and SMART goals. Develop deeply personal, potent "whys" for achieving these. Make sure you put a consistent daily effort into activities (30 - 60 minute events) and micro habits (2 - 5+ minute actions) that creates transformation. You know, the notion of positive thinking is one I blew off for so many years, but dealing with a bit of adversity will definitely make you reexamine your processes. What I would say is that its the positive thinking that helps deal with the rejection and fear. If left unchecked, they can take over. Focusing on the positive is a much better way to live. Get the complainers out of your head- they take up too much space. Anyways, thought this article was worth sharing. https://lnkd.in/eiA4w9qQ

THE REASON for writing Mind Shift is to destroy our internal limitations. Erwin Raphael McManus begins by reflecting on a statement he once heard, “Some people are simply structured for failure.” Based on our thoughts, we are structured or wired to behave within certain frequencies. If we think in toxic ways, we will get toxic outcomes. It takes a mind shift to move from where we are to where we want to be. “If my mind can be structured for failure, then it can also be structured for success.” It’s a choice. Most of us not only avoid near-death experiences, we avoid near-life experiences as well. We almost risk for love. We almost pursue our dreams. We almost overcome our fears. We almost live the life we long: for. We almost make the decision that would have changed everything. And then we get to the end of our lives and realize that we were so close. We were always just one choice away. “Every time you want to elevate your level of execution, performance, or effectiveness, it will require a mind shift.” McManus offers twelve mind shifts we can address to create the mental architecture for success. Mind Shift #1: It’s All About People Life is not about things. The quickest way to regret is to place things and experiences over relationships. “If we don’t know what really matters, we will spend our lives accumulating the very things that do not matter—discarding the things that matter most.” We can...

Self encouraging approach - It doesn't mean that one has to ignore life's less pleasant situations. Positive thinking just means that approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. To think the best is going to happen, not the worst. Positive thinking often starts with self-talk. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through the head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of the self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that the person create because of lack of information or expectations due to preconceived ideas of what may happen. If the thoughts that run through the head are mostly negative, the outlook on life is more likely pessimistic. If the thoughts are mostly positive, the person likely an optimist — someone who practices positive thinking is always in a self-encouraging mode, helpful to self and others.

Here are 7 Lessons from The High 5 Habit by Mel Robbins: 1. The Power of the 5 Second Rule: The core principle of the book is the "5-second rule," which encourages counting backward from 5 to 1 to interrupt negative thoughts and take action before fear and doubt take over. This simple practice can be applied to various situations to overcome procrastination and seize opportunities. 2. Reframe Your Mindset: The book emphasizes the importance of shifting your perspective from "what if" to "what next." Learn to identify limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering ones that fuel your confidence and motivation. 3. Embrace the High 5: Celebrating your successes, big or small, triggers a positive feedback loop in the brain. The "high 5" act, whether physical or mental, reinforces positive behaviors and motivates you to keep going. 4. Take Action, Even Imperfectly: Don't wait for everything to be perfect before starting. The "5-second rule" encourages taking immediate action, even if it's not flawless, to overcome inertia and build momentum. 5. Develop Self-Awareness: Robbins highlights the importance of understanding your triggers and negative patterns. By recognizing your self-sabotaging behaviors, you can proactively counter them with the 5-second rule and positive self-talk. 6. Build Confidence Through Action: The book emphasizes that confidence is not a state of being but a result of consistent action. Taking small, daily steps using the 5-second rule builds confidence and empowers you to tackle bigger challenges. 7. Gratitude and Purpose: Robbins encourages practicing gratitude for your blessings and finding your purpose in life. Connecting with your values and aligning your actions with them provides direction and motivation to overcome doubts and achieve your goals.

Mindfulness & Mindset Coach | Empowering Men to Lead With Clarity, And Thrive Through Mindfulness: Holistic Coaching for Personal Mastery.
Thoughts on a loop, self-doubt winning the race inside my head. Ever noticed how some thoughts spiral into stress or negativity? Our minds are storytellers, but not all stories serve us. Every thought shapes your reality. Master them, master your world. Negative Thoughts: ↪ "I can't do this." ↪ "Nobody cares about me." ↪ "I'm not smart enough." ↪ "I'll never succeed." ↪ "It's too late for me." Transform to Positive Thoughts: ↪ "I'm learning and growing." ↪ "I am valued and loved." ↪ "I am capable and intelligent." ↪ "Success is a journey, not a destination." ↪ "It's never too late to start." Step-by-Step to Shift Your Mindset: 1️⃣ Carry a Notebook: Your thoughts now have a landing place. 2️⃣ Note the Negative: Catch them. Write them. Don't judge. 3️⃣ Pause and Reflect: Why this thought? What triggered it? 4️⃣ Reframe with Positivity: Flip the script. Write a positive counterpart. 5️⃣ Acknowledge Growth: Celebrate each shift towards positivity. Embrace Thought Tracking: ✅ Begin today. A thought noted is a step towards change. ✅ Practice daily. Consistency transforms. ✅ Reflect weekly. Notice the shift? Thought tracking isn’t just about catching negativity; it’s about cultivating a garden of positive, empowering thoughts. P.S. Ready to rewrite your mind’s narrative? What's one negative thought you've been dealing with lately?

Powerful yet simple combination
Keynote Speaker & Leadership Expert | Confidence Coach to CEO’s, Olympians, and Peak Performers | I Help Companies Navigate Change by Building Leaders With Unwavering Confidence | Author of The Confidence Cycle (2025)
Positive thinking alone isn’t enough. And it may be the reason you’re not further ahead. Let me explain. There are few things that changed my life more than having a positive attitude. Life becomes more vibrant, people are drawn to you and (in my opinion) the universe shows up for you and your desires. But there is a BIG problem. When I was starting in my career, I read the law of attraction. It exposed me to the world of positive thinking and manifestation. Only one issue… it didn’t work. I thought ALL of the positive thoughts every morning and night yet still, I was left with little results and the common feeling of stuck. I couldn’t understand why this wasn’t working! The book suggests: what you focus on, you attract. Which is GREAT except for the fact that it is missing one crucial component. The fact that dreams DO NOT work unless you do. This ‘law’ decided to leave out arguably the most important part: the work. The formula for confidence and overall achievement requires one magic ingredient: ACTION. You can think positively all day long, but if it isn’t paired with action, the dream will stay a distant desire. If you know me, you know I am VERY positive. I believe positive thinking is of the most important things one can do in life. But the breakthrough moment for me was realizing that my positive thinking was just the fuel to take action. Fuel is important. So is actually driving the car. Remember to think positively because many of our problems are things over people would be grateful for. Now pair that positive thinking with action and you will be unstoppable. Happy Friday, friends! #keynotespeaker #speaker #confidence #mindset #selfconfidence

You probably hear a lot "just do it". But you just can't. Here are the top 5 reasons: 1 / You are afraid of failure. Failure is part of life. Learn to replace the word 'failure' with 'lesson' in your mind. 2 / Fear of criticism makes you insecure. If someone's critic hurts you, this is your own inner critic listening. The inner critic is a shadow of a child archetype. Do the work to help that part of you grow. 3 / The pressure of expectations paralyzes you. You are running an outdated program. Talk to a coach to help you rewrite an updated one. 4 / Your anti-vision dominates your mindset. The vivid image of a future you’re trying to avoid overshadows your drive for positive action. Write your anti-vision. Read it aloud. Feel how it feels. And do something about it. 5 / You lack a compelling vision for your future. You won't consistently take action if you miss the vision of the lifestyle you wish to live by. Write your desired future down. Here are the top 5 reasons why you can't do it. (summary) 1 / You are afraid of failure. 2 / Fear of criticism makes you insecure. 3 / Your anti-vision dominates your mindset. 4 / The pressure of expectations paralyzes you. 5 / You lack a compelling vision for your future.
