Virtual Assistant supporting overworked consultants in managing their busy schedules. ***2024 Nominee for the Strategic PA Network ‘Virtual Assistant of the Year Award’***
If you work from home, what's your working environment like? Do you have a dedicated office space or work from the dining room table? I've WFH 100% of the time since I became self-employed. I've converted the box room into my office, but it's taken time to set up the space to suit me, both for my physical and emotional needs. To be productive and happy, here are some tips on creating an effective home office setup: *Choose the Right Location: Select a quiet area in your home where you can focus without distractions. If possible, choose a room with a door that you can close to minimise interruptions. *Invest in Ergonomic Furniture: Prioritise comfort and support by investing in a quality chair and desk that promotes good posture. Consider using an ergonomic keyboard and mouse to reduce strain on your wrists. *Personalise Your Space: Make your home office feel welcoming and inspiring by adding personal touches such as artwork, and plants. Surrounding yourself with items that bring you joy can help boost your mood and creativity. *Organise Your Workspace: Keep your desk clutter-free and organize essential items within arm's reach. *Establish Boundaries: Set clear boundaries between your work and personal life to maintain a healthy balance. Take regular breaks to recharge and avoid burnout.

Are you one of the 80% of employers reconsidering your office design? Workplace design can greatly impact your team's productivity and collaboration. A recent survey by Cisco involving over 7000 employees and 1500 employers in Asia-Pacific revealed some compelling insights: - 64% of employees feel their work environments do not support them to deliver their best work. - Key areas of concern include collaboration spaces, technological infrastructure, and seating arrangements. - Natural light, acoustics, comfort, and task-specific spaces significantly influence productivity and psychological health. - 80% of employers are rethinking office designs, prioritizing flexibility, efficiency, and employees' mental wellbeing. “The [working] environment is like a physical cognitive scaffold for your brain – it picks up cues about what to do in that type of space, and supports that. So, different tasks are actually going to require different spaces.” – Libby Sander, Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Bond University. In the era of hybrid work, designing a workspace that motivates in-office collaboration and takes care of employees' health is essential. As we adapt to new ways of working, how are you updating your workspace to ensure it supports the evolving needs of your team? Have you seen any great examples or spaces? #WorkplaceDesign #EmployeeProductivity #HybridWork #PrimaGroup Source: HRM https://lnkd.in/gHBxqGv8

Remote and hybrid working has become more popular in recent years. There are plenty of benefits; a better work-life balance, skipping the stressful morning commute and maybe the addition of a leisurely breakfast. However, the allure of remote working can quickly turn into constant distractions and reduced efficiency without a proper setup. An effective home office is not just a desk and a chair thrown together, it must be conducive to healthy work habits. It’s important to pick a well-lit, airy space and then choose the right ergonomic furniture to set you up for the day. Here are five essentials every remote worker needs to create the perfect home office: 🪑Ergonomic Chair: A comfortable chair can vastly reduce the stress on your body by providing lumbar support and comfort. ✅ Correct Height Desk: A key piece in the puzzle of good office ergonomics, the right desk height can ease back pain, increase productivity and even brighten your mood. 🖥️ External Monitors: Take multitasking to the next level with multiple screens. 💡 Good Lighting: Just as important as your office furniture, good lighting helps reduce eye strain, headaches and drowsiness. 💻 Laptop Stand: These help position your laptop at a more comfortable angle while working and prevent the inevitable slouch. https://lnkd.in/gwj6r6f6
