cold in place is an excellent methodology and more sustainable.
Our team at Coughlin Company would like to invite you to attend our Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR) Open House on Thursday, July 25th from 11 am to 1 pm in Beaver, Oklahoma. What is Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR)? CIR is a partial depth asphalt rehabilitation construction technique that mills up a road a full lane width at a time, crushes the RAP down to specified size, mixes the RAP with asphalt to create a 100% RAP high-performance cold mix that is then paver laid and compacted, all in one-pass. Yes, there is a lot going on in this one pass operation and it’s best to see it in-person to fully understand the process. That’s why we’re hosting this open house. Here are the details: ❓ WHO ❓ Coughlin Company is hosting the event. ❓ WHAT ❓ Cold In-Place Recycling Open House where attendees will be able to see a live CIR project in person. Lunch will be provided at noon for those that register. ❓ WHEN ❓ Thursday, July 25th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. ❓ WHERE ❓ The project is located on County Road EW-10 (Beaver Road) near Beaver, OK and lunch will be provided at the Beaver County Fairgrounds (1107 Douglas Avenue, Beaver, OK 73932) at noon. ❓ WHY ❓ Come and see the CIR process and learn more about it. We’ll have people on the road and at the Fairgrounds available to answer your questions and provide project specific details. We’re encouraging folks to register for the event. Registration will get you on our distribution list for any weather/construction related updates and helps us judge the number of lunches that need to be provided. Feel free to share this invite with anyone that might be interested. Coughlin Company is excited to host this event and we look forward to seeing you on the 25th! #coldinplace #sustainableconstruction #gogreensavegreen #asphalt #openhouse

Many ways to collect litter but 1️⃣ common goal of a Maryland free of trash and litter❗️ Systemic change at the source is why we are advocating for Extended Producer Responsibility for Packaging! ✅Reduces Volume ✅Increases Sustainability ✅Increases Recyclability Read about the many mitigation strategies for litter. ⬇️
The flow of litter to the Anacostia River—particularly plastic bottles—is as stark as it is in many tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. D.C. leaders and various nonprofits work to reduce the trash as best they can. They rely on a variety of tactics like trash traps, skimmer boats, laws and regulations—even volunteers who pay for their kayak rental in the litter they pick up. Learn more about these efforts for #PlasticFreeJuly.

In 2015, the Murray Darling Wetlands Working Group, The Nature Conservancy (Australia) and Kilter Rural, launched the Murray-Darling Basin Balanced Water Fund, the first investment vehicle in Australia to provide investors with the opportunity to achieve multiple objectives of securing water for agriculture, realising a financial return and restoring threatened wetlands. Below on the Riverspace site, you can see the wetlands and projects supported by donations of water we are managing in collaboration with many community and government organisations. The estimated 30,000 wetlands within the Murray-Darling Basin are highly diverse, ranging from vast floodplains, billabongs, and swamps to smaller wetlands and streams. The wetlands are home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including several threatened and endangered species. Please take a moment to consider making a donation that will go towards restoration and protection of our wetlands. https://riverspace.au/

Sustainability and circular economy professional building systems that improve our lives and the world around us
Anyone know what the definition of insanity is? 🙋♀️ I'll go. It's doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, and it's exactly what the Parker administration is perpetuating here with its 13 weeks of block cleaning and no follow-up plans for how address systemic waste, litter, illegal dumping and other quality of life issues that have plagued Philly for decades. We've seen this movie before, and it always ends the same way--with perpetually littered and dumped on neighborhoods and disillusioned Philadelphians. We are long past the point where we need real, systemic solutions to these problems. Short-term band-aids like this 13-week program won't create the lasting change we need, and we needed change yesterday. Furthermore, the "if you're not with us, you're against us" rhetoric spouted by Parker at the end of this clip is exactly the kind of rhetoric used by autocrats (and a certain recent U.S. president) who want to silence anyone that believes the solutions on offer are inadequate. It's divisive and dangerous and frankly, just plain gross. At Circular Philadelphia, we continue to advocate for creative, innovative solutions that shift us away from the status quo and towards lasting change that benefits all Philadelphians. Yes, these solutions require more work and leadership than simply sticking your finger in the air and proclaiming "One Philly!" But without them, eventually we won't HAVE a Philly that anyone wants to call home. I am proud of my co-director Nic Esposito for being willing to continue to speak out about the urgency of enacting real solutions, and I implore my fellow non-profit leaders who care about issues related to waste, dumping and climate to join him in speaking up about how this mayoral administration must do better.
