As we approach the "unofficial start to summer" with Memorial Day next week, we wanted to explore ways to "Bloom Where You Work" and have fun at the office! It is important to many employees to have a workplace where they feel comfortable, safe, and enjoy being there. As a business owner, you can help facilitate this by implementing a few small, and often inexpensive measures to help bring the "fun" into the workplace! - Build a system of recognition. This is easier than it seems, and is great to foster within your company from the top down. Finding ways to celebrate the little wins is the first step. Everything from closing a contract with a dream client, meeting a tight deadline, or coming in under budget, can be an opportunity to celebrate. Encourage your employees and managers to recognize and celebrate with each other, through verbal praise, a high five, or a quick shout out. Super simple, and FREE! Stay tuned for more ideas to help make your workplace more FUN!

🌟 Why Team Building Matters 🌟 In today’s fast-paced work environment, successful companies understand that growth is built on strong teams. That's why investing in team-building activities is more important than ever! Here are a few reasons why team-building initiatives can make a difference: 🔹 Enhanced Collaboration Team-building exercises break down silos, encouraging people from different departments to connect and work together. This helps bridge gaps, creates open communication channels, and fosters a collaborative culture. 🔹 Boosted Morale and Engagement Happy teams are productive teams! Engaging in fun, non-work-related activities can refresh and re-energize employees, making them feel valued and motivated. This often leads to improved job satisfaction and higher retention rates. 🔹 Increased Trust and Empathy Through challenges and activities, colleagues can understand each other's strengths, weaknesses, and working styles. Building trust within teams is key to creating a positive work environment where people feel comfortable expressing ideas and giving feedback. 🔹 Better Problem-Solving Skills Team-building often includes activities that require creative problem-solving, pushing employees to think outside the box. This can lead to enhanced critical thinking skills that benefit projects and client solutions down the line. When a company invests in its people, it shows! Team-building isn’t just a “nice-to-have”—it's a strategic advantage. 🌐 How has your organization benefitted from team-building? Three years ago, Joshua O'Riordan wrote about #creativeteams and the most poignant lessons that have stuck with us at Brightec. Including: ⚖ Finding the middle ground between being utterly passionate and utterly considerate; knowing the right time to learn from others and when to put forward your case. 🌱 Knowing where inspiration comes from to ensure we can deliver new solutions and products for our clients. 😀 Nurturing a culture that encourages security, mutual respect and understanding so that critique can be given, and received well to create great results together. https://lnkd.in/d23YKe2J Here's a recent example of how this looks in our (now much bigger) team... 🤓 Back in June, we had 2 team away days. The first day was led by the brilliant Strengths House, guiding us to look at, review, discuss and learn more about #strengthsfinders and how we work as individuals and as a team. The second day was a more subtle team building day spent lighting fires, building shelters, bbq'ing and participating in 'woodland work'🌳 🌻 Continuing the conversations from that Strengths Day, Nick Holcombe and Bianca have been meeting each week to further their understanding of their personal strengths. This has led them to see where our strengths lie as a team, which strengths we are collectively lower in, and, thus, where we can grow. 👀 Specifically, Nick and Bianca noticed where the 'gap' in strengths might not be supporting our current format of Research and Development days. So they have created a survey for the team to complete, checking their suspicions, gathering ideas and getting a bigger picture of what is and isn't working. 💪 They weren't afraid to say, 'We think we can be doing this better.' I'm really excited to see what comes out of this investigation of our Research and Development Days 🌈

While you and your coworkers are high-fiving this year’s successes, take a moment to reflect on the people who’ve shaped your team—even those who aren’t here anymore. Whether it’s a colleague who brought joy to meetings, a client who made work better, or someone whose influence still inspires, their impact is worth remembering. Honoring them doesn’t have to be complicated. Small, heartfelt gestures—like printing their favorite phrase on pencils to keep their words alive or sending a note to their family, or serving their favorite dish at a team lunch—can strengthen your team’s connection and remind everyone how much they mattered. For inspiration, Beyond The Gravestone offers a playful and practical list of ideas, blending creativity and heart. It’s good for the team, the culture, and the community—and it might spark new ways to celebrate people in your company that haven't clocked out yet! https://lnkd.in/eSzyHFTx Let’s make space to honor the people who’ve shaped us. If you give something a try, I’d love to hear what resonated!

5 years what an achievement, this time 5 years ago I remember thinking "I hope that phone rings today", I can assure you I have never had that thought again. 5 Years at TMT has been like a well controlled, organised, fun Rollercoaster that only goes up! With more people joining our happy ship and us now building on our well established brand, I am excited to see what the next 5 years will bring. A few insights. On the property market side of things, the world of Real Estate is evolving and with it, the ways you can purchase property. Cryptocurrency's popularity is already showing it is possible to purchase property with, for example, Bitcoin, Ethereum or other digital assets. Some sellers may be open to such an exchange, however GBP will be needed for some time yet for that all important HMRC SDLT payment! Some Lenders are even starting to explore mortgages backed by Cryptocurrency. Global Payments will become faster, cheaper, more efficient and encouraging more international trade, business and investment. A fee with no exchange rate! Regulatory reform - with some Crypto Exchanges now being accepted by PII providers and Banks you can now use your Crypto investment portfolio to buy assets (all subject to AML, KYC etc etc but lets not bog this post about the future in 'red tape'). Artificial Intelligence- Chat GPT, the other day my Teams call was minuted by a Bot who took a very detailed minute by minute with sub titled topic headings at a speed I'm not sure I can talk at - some will disagree! All of the above will compliment service, personal experience, efficiency. Finally for those that may feel some trepidation regarding the future, did you know that the word FEAR has two meanings. 1. Forget everything and Run 2. Face everything and Rise At TMT Legal Services LLP we will continue to Rise, Evolve and have a little fun on the way....
As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, we're reminded of the incredible people who have made our growth and success possible. To our amazing Team, Clients, Referrers and Business Partners, thank you for your continued support and dedication. Here's to dreaming bigger and reaching higher every year! #5thbirthday #companymilestone #brightfuture #LawFirmGrowth #thankyouteam #dreambig
