Passionate about using AI and design thinking to drive innovation in HealthTech, creating human-centered solutions that transform businesses and improve digital product outcomes.
Breaking into digital health isn’t easy, but it’s a space full of opportunities if you know how to navigate it. I came across an interesting article on Forbes, “The Digital Health Market Unplugged: Penetration Strategy,” thanks to Johannes Boshkow that highlights the complexities of entering the digital health market as well as the oppertunties. It made me reflect on some of the challenges we’ve seen. The hardest part? Knowing where to start and how to scale. It’s not just about that initial engagement—it’s about staying involved through multiple iterations as the market and user needs evolve. Design thinking plays a huge role here. By deeply understanding the needs of users and staying flexible through iterations, we can create human-centered solutions that grow with the changing landscape. Here are a few key takeaways I’d add: 1. Start small, scale smart Pick one use case, test it with users, and show value before expanding. Staying involved as needs shift is crucial for long-term success. 2. Build partnerships with champion users Collaborate with clinicians and key stakeholders early and often. They’re busy, but their feedback is invaluable for shaping solutions that cut across complex systems and workflows. 3. Embrace complexity Integration into existing systems is tough, but design thinking can help you approach this challenge with empathy. It’s about refining the solution until it fits seamlessly into workflows. As one of my clients put it, that consistent focus on user needs is what gives them a competitive edge. The key isn’t just market penetration. It’s creating solutions that make a real difference by keeping users at the center, every step of the way. What’s been your biggest challenge in the digital health space? 🔔 I’m Martin, and for over 20 years, I’ve been focused on building human-centered, impactful digital solutions that transform healthcare. 👍 Like if you agree. ♻️ Repost to keep the conversation going. https://lnkd.in/eGsab6zb #DigitalHealth #DesignThinking #PatientExperience #DigitalTherapeutics

Helping healthcare leaders by helping their members - unlocking value for payers with tailored programs that motivate high-risk members to 96% adherence
In 2016, Walgreen's and Theranos made headlines with their flawed blood testing rollout, while Scanadu Scout faced regulatory hurdles despite its promising "Tricoder" technology. These examples underscore the challenges and importance of establishing clear evaluation criteria in digital health. When ANDHealth and Perx Health were founded, the landscape was fraught with uncertainty. Innovators, doctorpreneurs, and enterprise customers grappled with the complexity of commercializing digital health products, which require a blend of clinical research, real-world ROI, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Historically, the absence of clear evaluation criteria slowed digital health adoption. Without standardized benchmarks, buyers struggled to differentiate between vendors, often swayed by marketing or favoritism. Likewise, innovators lacked a roadmap to measure and guide their progress, leading to uneven development. Now, published standards from entities like Public Health England, the AMA, and Australia’s RACGP provide much-needed clarity. These resources offer criteria for evaluating digital health solutions, particularly in patient-facing programs like Digital Therapeutics. To identify a good digital health vendor, consider these questions: What technology does the product use? How does the product work? Does the clinical evidence base demonstrate effectiveness? Has effectiveness been validated in the real world? What evidence is there for successful adoption? What support will the vendor provide for implementation? How does the vendor manage privacy & security? Does the vendor meet and understand relevant regulations? How invested is the vendor in a long-term partnership? By adhering to these standards, we can elevate the industry and ensure digital health solutions deliver real-world benefits. https://lnkd.in/e-KpBrPN
