Today marks a special occasion in the history of Thomas & Hutton—our Founders' Day. On this day in 1946, Mr. Thomas and Mr. Hutton, both veterans of World War II, chose to make Savannah their home after the war. We are glad they did! For 78 years, our company has played a vital role in shaping communities and protecting the environment. Over the decades, countless dedicated professionals have contributed their expertise to solving challenging projects. What began as a single office on Bay Street in Savannah, GA has grown into a dynamic organization with people working across the United States, with principal locations in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. From our earliest partnerships with the City of Savannah and Chatham Steel—relationships that continue to this day—to Mr. Hutton's pivotal meeting with Charles Fraser that helped shape Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island, we have consistently provided innovative solutions. Whether it was wastewater projects in the 1970s, funded by the Clean Water Act, or today's cutting-edge work in electric vehicle manufacturing, Thomas & Hutton remains at the forefront of delivering excellence. But what has truly defined us through all these years are the people—the relationships we build with each other and with our clients. These connections are the heart and soul of Thomas & Hutton, and they are what make this company truly special. Happy Founders' Day!
