Santo 203 “Secret Snowflakes” Educators, together we can create a world where giving is the norm by providing creative opportunities for students. Our fifth grade students embraced the idea of becoming a “Secret Snowflake” by gifting to community members. One by one the Secret Snowflakes joined to form a blizzard of generosity to our neighbors and local charitable organizations. *Some took time to bake and deliver delicious goodies to neighbors *Others choose to donate to charities online. *Some handpicked gifts destined for the local Children's Hospital. *Others gave to Toys for Tots After the event, a lively discussion took place as students shared their “secret” with classmates. Reflections echoed the research of M. Ames who emphasizes that spending time enriching your community broadens your perceptions of the world. Immersing yourself in a community dedicated to positive change teaches you valuable lessons about how the world works and fosters a unique sense of purpose that often extends to other areas of your life. “The heart of the giver makes the gift dear and precious." - Luther. How do you cultivate a learning environment that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures compassionate hearts, fostering a generation that understands the true value of giving? #VolunteerImpact #CommunityEngagement #StudentLeadership

This holiday season let’s come together to make a child’s Christmas a little brighter. Join us in our Toys for Tots Toy Drive and bring the magic of the season to children who deserve a reason to smile. 🎁🎄✨ Bring a little joy into a child’s life by donating a new, unwrapped toy. Your gift could be the one that lights up their face on Christmas morning. Rally your friends, family, or coworkers to host a collection drive. Create drop-off points in your community and make it easy for everyone to contribute. Spread the word by sharing Toy Drive information on social media, in your local community groups, and with your network. The more people who know, the more toys we can collect for children in need. If you prefer an online option, consider contributing to our virtual toy drive. Your monetary donation will go towards purchasing toys for kids who may otherwise go without. #BPC #Philanthropy #nonprofit #charity #donation #influence #inspire #bpcfund #foundation #GivingBack #compassion

For the month of July, our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Albuquerque are hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help children in need begin the school year with all of the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will return to school and what the classroom will look like, they need your help more than ever. Families with children in K-12 spent a projected $519 per child on back-to-school needs last year. For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Donating new school supplies to children in disadvantaged communities will make an impact on their ability to begin the school year school-ready. Items we are collecting: -Pencils -Pens -Composition Books -Combination Locks -Scientific Calculators -5-Subject Notebooks -Tissues -Hand Sanitizer -Wet Wipes -Trapper Keepers -Colored Pencils -Markers -Protractors -Paint Sets -Glue Bottles -Notebook Paper -Highlighters -Scissors -Sharpeners -Pocket Folders To donate, simply comment below and we'll have a volunteer coordinate a donation pick up!! #TeamWhoIAm_Albuquerque

Summer should be a time of discovery and growth, but transportation barriers often stand in the way for many youths in our community. Your support means we can drive forward, not just by giving a ride, but by investing in the futures of Pontiac’s youth. Let's help them get where they need to go and grow! 👉 Donate today and fuel their journey to success! https://lnkd.in/ejsJcBx9 Let's drive positive change together! Today, I need your help. As many of you know, I chair the board of directors of BeWell in School, a local nonprofit that empowers schools with self-regulation through movement, mindfulness, and breathing. Our work revolutionizes school wellness and happiness while decreasing disciplinary interventions and improving scholastic outcomes. It is literally life-changing work. This year our board made a major pivot. We saw our school partners struggling with funding due to policy changes post-COVID. Rather than adding expense to the already constrained budgets of underfunded public schools, we committed to covering as many of their BeWell programming costs as we could jointly afford. Our partners still invest heavily through paying teacher salaries, but our team now works to cover other costs by partnering with philanthropic individuals and groups who want to see our schools improve. We have an aggressive goal to raise $100,000 by the end of 2024. Today, I'm asking for your help in meeting this goal. If you want to support an organization that helps students and teachers in a time of great need, then please click the link below and donate what you feel comfortable giving. https://lnkd.in/e4zr7a5A My company, Expedition Group, has committed to a $5,000 investment in this cause, and I'm hoping to find others who want to match that commitment. Who else will rise to the occasion and support this cause with me?
