Families Together was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals from Lutheran Churches who came together to address a concern for families in crisis. 2. What are you just bursting to share about your nonprofit? Our non-profit is filled with dedicated professionals at every level who deeply share a belief that every family deserves a home, and children should never worry about where they will sleep at night. 3. Tell us about your logo or how your nonprofit's name originated. Our logo seeks to engender hope and opportunity. At the center is a handprint of a 6-year-old child who participated in our program from 2015-16. 4. How does your nonprofit care for the unhoused? Every family receives stable housing and wrap-around services to help them achieve financial security, employment, improved education and health, and increased earning capacity. 5. What is your favorite fact or statistic regarding your nonprofit's work? We are so proud that approximately 94% of families we house graduate after holding a lease in their own names for a year. #partnerspotlight #jcf #LoveandJustice

A Great Case Study for Nonprofit Administration: Every Child Succeeds embodies and is emblematic of the challenges that nonprofits face. Even though we began with adequate funding, excellent community and business support and a strong scientific case for our mission, we still encountered roadblocks that ultimately did not allow us to grow to serve the well documented needs of our community. These barriers are not unique to ECS and our activities have been carefully documented, creating not only a description of what happened but also guidance for other organizations---including the roadblocks and essential questions to guide decision making. #ChasingSuccess #NonprofitManagement

In September of 2023, Florida Nonprofit Alliance and the Jessie du Pont Ball Foundation released Growing Generosity in Florida: Giving Groups Under 45. This report provides actionable insights for nonprofit organizations, donors, and policy makers about the dynamics of individual givers across Florida. In this study, we focused exclusively on younger people (adults aged 18-45) in order to generate insights about how to best attract and retain them as lifelong givers Analyzing generosity through the lens of distinct giving groups allows nonprofits to rethink and reorient their messaging to their audiences to attract new donors or reach former donors in new ways. Santo 203 “Secret Snowflakes” Educators, together we can create a world where giving is the norm by providing creative opportunities for students. Our fifth grade students embraced the idea of becoming a “Secret Snowflake” by gifting to community members. One by one the Secret Snowflakes joined to form a blizzard of generosity to our neighbors and local charitable organizations. *Some took time to bake and deliver delicious goodies to neighbors *Others choose to donate to charities online. *Some handpicked gifts destined for the local Children's Hospital. *Others gave to Toys for Tots After the event, a lively discussion took place as students shared their “secret” with classmates. Reflections echoed the research of M. Ames who emphasizes that spending time enriching your community broadens your perceptions of the world. Immersing yourself in a community dedicated to positive change teaches you valuable lessons about how the world works and fosters a unique sense of purpose that often extends to other areas of your life. “The heart of the giver makes the gift dear and precious." - Luther.
