Think you are focusing on the wrong things really. People who have an open mind towards EVs already know this. Make the cars accessible for more people instead. The price difference between a regular car and an EV is still ridiculous. For example a new Passat costs from 36 000 euros and the ID7 starts at 52 000 euros. Thats the actual price difference in Sweden.
I’ve compared 300km range electric to petrol (VW and other car firms) and petrol is by far the cheapest even when adding up the cost of fuel, servicing and maintenance over time which is before factoring in a home charging point if going electric. The first 2 myths in the video come at what price Thomas Schäfer? We need to get real if we want to see a step change in the general consumer (not business consumer) going electric.
Fun to drive, fast to charge, and great range - the ID. models are real game changers! 🔥 🔥
185 kW is the peak charging power not 185 kwh at myth 2
Could not agree more, Thomas🙌 I love my ID.4. We have been camping with it this summer pulling our caravan. Easy and enjoyable driving and we didn’t need to disconnect the caravan for loading even once! Great experience! And now… looking forward to the ID.7 GTX arriving soon. Proudly produced in Emden❤️
I love my polo it's the perfect car, simple, logical, reliable, my 190 cm son fits in it with no problem. Can we please have an EV polo, without stupid touch screens. Just a phone holder , I'll do all my navigation on a £100 android phone using g maps.

Thomas, great rebuttal to the last three con-list of EV non buyers... I'm sure you are also working hard to minimize the first point of that list: Price. Much success!! 💡Great Challenge Thanks for sharing! 🤓 Ferran G. Sales 𝙁𝙂𝙎
Super Format, toll produziert - Kudos ans gesamte Team und den Host :-)
Turning Systemic Challenges into Financial Success
2moAs a technology, EVs are almost a no-brainer down the road considering the >90% e-motor and 70% overall system efficiency. However, they must also be a "better buying alternative" to ICEVs. I still see the need for more engaging and expressive designs and personalities in these products. These are not kitchen appliances, but lifestyle enhancers. And setting more ambitious targets in terms of performance (range, battery capacity, charging speeds, etc.). Considering the rapid technology advancements, additional incentives such as series parts upgrades (not only SW updates) and car buyback programs (also circular/sustainability solutions) should also help customers accommodate the high upfront costs/reduction in value. It takes above all leadership vision, courage and determination to execute in this rapidly evolving and often ambiguous competitive landscape. The alternative is becoming irrelevant with Europe ending up as a skansen of industrial revolution. Fingers crossed in dealing with these complex issues!
