📣 There is only four days 🔢 to go for anyone interested in bidding for support with their community or charity project via the The Channel Islands Co-operative Society COOP COMMUNITY FUND 🎁. The Fund has two rounds of applications each year, one in the autumn 🍂 and one in the spring 🌻. So if you want to plan 🎯 for an event, initiative or activity that will help your charity or community project later this year or early 2025 📅, you will need to apply BY MONDAY 30 SEPTEMBER 2024 ⏲. The application process is online 💻, is simple requiring little time ⌚ to complete. The key is to grasp and understand how the Coop Community Fund works and the areas of community engagement it targets 🎯. How can an organisation know?

Say, for example, that a donor had a pot P to donate annually to eight similar charities. She could measure their performance based on x interventions costing y annually (the formula is more complicated, this is a simple example). By applying Markovitz Theory of Portfolio Selection she could allocate P among the eight charities according to the Markowitz calculated coefficients efficiently in order to maximize her personal charitable giving utility. The risk-return element is part of the formula. Am I on to something or barking up the wrong endangered tree forest? Answers welcome on an e-postcard.
