On Friday, May 17th, Three Ships Community Impact hosted a foster family appreciation night in partnership with the Methodist Home for Children at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. Our goal was to celebrate the amazing foster families at MHC and inspire new families to open their doors to these deserving children. More than 100 current and prospective family members registered for our appreciation night. We were excited to celebrate +20 current foster families (a group of nearly 70, with +40 children in attendance), and engage with 11 new prospective families. Kids and adults alike enjoyed a private museum experience where they could explore and have fun -- and meet a few live animals for the brave attendees (including a milk snake, a tarantula, and a mini-hedgehog). We thank Tatenda Perry, Jeannie Norris, Pam E. Powell, Tomika Brooks, and the MHC leadership and staff in partnering to make such a successful event!

A CIO with Transformation expertise and an innate understanding of how technology can position a company for success
During my time at @Life Without Barriers, I’ve learned that fostering can come in many forms. Providing care doesn’t have to be full-time; it can be providing a safe space for a young person for a couple of nights or one weekend each month. When it comes to fostering, no two children or families are the same; that’s why Life Without Barriers doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Think outside the box and learn more about the diverse ways you could make a difference here: https://lnkd.in/gMUF6SGc

2nd attempt to post. Though at DEA they are not so proud to highlight their shortcomings that they have no issue hiding from taxpayers. They removed my previous posts which simply expresses DEA's willingness to hide their incompetence and disabled comments on the appropriate post. If this firm put out the truth and numbers of how many things they had to redo on this Highway 20 Safety Upgrade between Corvallis and Albany OR taxpayers would have something to say about this firm’s laughable ranking. How about it DEA, put out an itemized list of everything that had to be done two or three times because it wasn’t done right in the first place and how much taxpayers money was wasted in the process. In my driveway alone they had to do multiple things more than once. No wonder ODOT never comes in on budget with incompetence like this! Taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for this! DEA was contracted for at least the Newberg-Dundee Bypass, the worst one, up 239% from original estimate. https://lnkd.in/epv6uESx
Meet our next community champions in our Denver office! Our Denver staff volunteers for Food for Thought, an organization that seeks to provide children across the Denver metro area with food certainty over weekends during the school year. McKenna Jones, who participated along with teammates from DEA’s Denver office, said, “We recognize the importance of giving back to the communities in which we work, which is why we are proud to partner with Food for Thought Denver. Children are the future, and we are passionate about working to eliminate childhood hunger in our community.” At DEA, we're proud to highlight our community champions who embody our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Teaching our youth the importance of service and Being useful to others is crucial… At Give Back School, We emphasise this value by bringing ten of our students each week to feed the homeless in downtown Rio de Janeiro. This hands-on experience not only provides immediate relief to those in need But also instals a deep sense of empathy and social responsibility in our students. → By directly engaging with the community, → They learn the significance of giving back, → Understanding the impact of their actions, and → Developing a lifelong commitment to helping others. I believe that this practice cultivates a generation that values service and promotes selflessness. Live Generously Umberto —--------- PS.
