IT WAS AWESOME!!! 🥳😎⚡️👍 We have made it together! The #ICP Global Community Town Hall was a significant event that brought together over 1.5 million people from 30 countries in a 24-hour multi-language crypto marathon. Hosted on the ICP HUBS platform, it featured 100 ICP projects, key opinion leaders, and influencers like Wendy'O and Crypto Banter. The #Thailand 🇹🇭community was also represented by founders and amazing startups, including Yoki Finance, Bridge23, and Unchained Elephants. Additionally, Jaque Democrate shared his experience with VR studying in Universities. DFINITY speakers, including Jan Camenish, provided insights across various stages globally. The event was pivotal for several reasons: 1) It fostered unity among HUBS, projects, leaders, and the foundation, setting the stage for future collaborations. 2) The event established the Internet Computer as a leader in the field, unmatched in its ability to host such a large-scale virtual gathering. 3) The Town Hall served as a strategic marketing tool, highlighting the platform's capabilities and the ecosystem's strength. The Bionic team have crowd sourced our best takeaways from Zebu Live - London Web3 Conference from last week there are some really key messages that came across for us. 🎤 The event was pitched perfectly. Great attendees, thought-provoking and insightful content, and a buzzy atmosphere.   🚀 The rise of crypto is unstoppable whether you “believe” in it or not. The adoption of it is moving at a huge pace with new users coming online at a significant pace. 🎡 Marketing flywheel is so important in web3. Identifying “super users” and empowering them to advocate on your behalf creates a really self-sustaining community model powering that flywheel network effect.   🖼️ Memes are a brilliant marketing tactic but not the whole strategy. They are a core part of crypto culture, so understand how to lean into them in an authentic way for your brand. ⚖️ Not everything needs a token. Think carefully about what it is for, why it's valuable to your users and business model, and if it could cause more harm than good if executed badly.   🏢 We need to stop calling our work projects and call them businesses, because that's exactly what we are, and saying anything less devalues the importance of what we are trying to achieve.   👀 Eyes are on the US for what happens on 5th November, but it is a testament to the industry that crypto has been recognised by both candidates. 🇬🇧 The UK urgently needs to address its stance on crypto. It’s driving talent away from the country, it's patchy in its application, and it leans too much on TradFi structures that don’t work for crypto. 👏 The representation across the event and panels was brilliant. To soar higher in this industry, you would need to choose collaboration over competition. I have never come across any projects that chose to compete rather than collaborate to grow higher. What happens is they later lose out on focusing on their core values. Competition is unhealthy and it only shows how less you care about those whose interest aligns with your project's values. On the whitepaper, your vision, mission, and roadmap are crystal clear which is remarkable. But in reality, you're doing something different because you want to imitate everything about another project that has been long in the game. The fastest way to slow your growth is to fail to realize that other projects started from/with the following: — ground zero — small team — little to no funds — little to no backing from VCs In the web3 space, these are what projects do together: 1. They collaborate to have contests amongst their community members. 2. They collaborate to exchange values by rewarding their users/members. 3. They collaborate to organize events and workshops. 4. They collaborate to build innovative tech on an ecosystem or blockchain. 5. They collaborate to have Ask-Me-Anything sessions to build awareness about their projects. These and lots more are what web3 projects do together.
