Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 As an ally, I stand with the LGBTIQ+ community not only during June but every day🌈 Let’s remember that: - Tolerance Isn’t Enough: It’s not merely about tolerating differences; it’s about embracing them. Let’s actively learn, listen, and support our LGBTIQ+ friends, colleagues, and family members. - Educate Ourselves: Take the time to educate ourselves about LGBTIQ+ history, rights, and challenges. Knowledge empowers change. - Speak Up: When you hear offensive remarks or jokes, say something. Explain why they are harmful and offensive. Allies play a crucial role in creating safe spaces. - Celebrate Diversity: Let’s celebrate love, identity, and authenticity 🎉 Thank you, JTI, for fostering a culture of acceptance and inclusion. Let’s continue to make a difference together! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Here's my top tip if you’re confused about what to do about inclusion at work - You don’t need to guess. - You don’t need to hope. - You don’t need to wish. You just need to make better decisions. You need the best available evidence. Apply this to any issue you face. I suggest you collect it from 4 sources: - The organisation - The people affected - The scientific literature - Your professional expertise This makes it harder to get confused. This means you’re the one raising the standards. This is what we mean by Evidence Based Inclusion. This gets you closer to an inclusive workplace. Message me "Inclusion Ready" to learn more about how we do this. I’m cheering you on.

Instead of just whacking a rainbow logo on our socials for Pride Month, we’re working with queer-led LGBTIQA+ inclusion training organisation Queer Town to release a free guide on LGBTIQA+ inclusive marketing, advertising, and communications. And we need your help. We’re collecting feedback on how brands can better support LGBTIQA+ communities, and how you feel about current representations. This survey takes less than two minutes to complete, is completely anonymous, and will help support agencies, brands, and marketers create work that more accurately reflects the diversity in identities and experiences found in LGBTIQA+ communities. Because when you know better, you do better. Find the survey below. https://lnkd.in/gZdKukxn

At Lockheed Martin (LM), our PRIDE Business Resource Group is hosting numerous events throughout PRIDE month to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and bring awareness to the importance of creating a workplace that encourages inclusion and allows employees to bring their authentic selves to work every day. This week I attended a virtual event where we had an opportunity to listen to early career LM professionals who discussed the biggest challenges facing LM PRIDE, LM's D&I initiatives, how to get younger employees more involved in PRIDE, and offer advice. During the panel discussion, an employee commented that a colleague who had just recently come out heard other team members in her group joking around about the LGBTQIA+ community and therefore didn’t feel comfortable coming out at work out of fear it would destroy her career. Unfortunately, workplace discrimination and exclusion are still significant challenges for LGBTQIA+ employees, leading to many feeling unwelcome like the employee in this situation. I recently ran across a Harvard Business Review Article on “How to Be a Better Ally to the LGBTQIA+ Community” which had some great reminders on what we can do to be better allies and help foster a psychological-safe environment for our colleagues. According to the article, a good ally to LGBTQIA+ individuals is defined as someone who is accepting, takes action, and has humility. Each of these components are important to be a good ally, but it boils down to taking the time to educate yourself on LGBTQIA+ issues, speaking out against discrimination, and truly listening to and learning from LGBTQIA+ individuals. Your actions can make a real difference in the lives of your colleagues, and in creating a more inclusive workplace for all. It's time for us all to step up and become better allies to our LGBTQIA+ colleagues. Please join me in actively working to be accepting, taking action, and having humility to create a more inclusive and welcoming workplace for everyone.

Passionate Leader for HR Digital Transformation, HR Processes, HRIS, Employee Experience, HR Excellence and HR Analytics.
🌈 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 With the start of the Pride Month and as a LGBTIQ+ Ally I want to take this opportunity to celebrate diversity, tolerance and inclusion. I strongly believe that diversity is a strength, and that different perspectives and experiences lead to innovation and growth. It is the responsibility of all of us to create an open and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and accepted. Pride Month gives us the opportunity to show our commitment to diversity and inclusion and to express our solidarity with the LGBTIQ+ community. By celebrating the Pride Month, I am making a statement for a world where everyone deserves equal opportunities and recognition. I am aware that dealing with the topic is not always easy, and the fear of making mistakes may prevent a lighthearted approach to the topic. My experience has shown that it is very helpful to have an open dialogue, clarify questions and actively seek feedback. In this way, I become more confident in dealing with sensitive topics, can learn from mistakes and maintain a more relaxed approach. And especially with sensitive topics, it's important to remember that words and their meanings are in a social and cultural context. Even if I didn't mean something intentionally offensive, certain words or statements can be harmful because of their historical or social connotations. Therefore I try to be aware of my language use and how my words may be perceived and being open to feedback to recognize where I failed and take this as opportunity to learn and grow. This is one step that will help us grow together into an appreciative, inclusive and tolerant community. Wishing everyone a colorful Pride Month! #PrideMonth #DiversityandInclusion #OpenConversations 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

As we’re coming to the end of this Pride Month, I wanted share some thoughts. Above all I’m here to learn how I can best support my LGBTIQ+ colleagues. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 And this was a key focus of our recent leadership panel discussion on allyship. During this session, we discussed topics including the needs of colleagues in different regions, the importance of psychological safety, and how to drive tangible action on LGBTIQ+ inclusion. One action we’ve taken recently is reaffirming our commitment to the LGBTIQ+ Standards of Conduct for Business by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). In line with this commitment, it’s my goal to ensure that the voices of LGBTIQ+ colleagues are heard, that their needs are addressed, and that everyone can be their authentic selves. Not just in Pride Month, but all year round. I want to be a CEO of a company where everybody feels they can be themselves. Where you can be ‘you’, and where we are united for progress — creating a safe space for all, celebrating diversity, and staying curious about each other’s experiences. That’s how we show Pride at dsm-firmenich! #webringprogresstolife #pride #beyou #allyship

As we celebrate Pride Month, we honour the vibrant spectrum of identities that make up our community. At the heart of this celebration is a profound truth: Human dignity is inviolable. Every individual, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, deserves respect and recognition. Diversity means enrichment. Our varied experiences and perspectives make us stronger and more resilient. It is through embracing our differences that we can truly innovate and create a more inclusive world. Diversity means creativity. When we bring together unique voices and ideas, we foster an environment where creativity thrives. Our differences drive us to think outside the box and push the boundaries of what is possible. Diversity embraces who we are. Each of us is a unique blend of experiences, cultures, and identities. By celebrating this diversity, we affirm our commitment to a world where everyone is valued for who they are. This Pride Month, let's stand together in solidarity and celebration. Let's continue to build a community where diversity is not just accepted, but celebrated as a source of strength and beauty. Happy Pride Month! #MercedesBenzFinancialServicesAustralia #Pride #CelebratingEveryRoadYouTake
