5moHuge congratulations to Henrik Eriksson and all the key people involved in product design the last 15 years at Thule. So well deserved!! What an honor to win Design Team of the Year and join the prestigious list of design teams from Apple, Braun and other great brands. I remember my first day at Thule some 18 years ago when I walked around introducing myself to everybody up in Hillerstorp. I came upon Henrik working on product manuals at a cubicle in a cluttered corridor. Behind him he had some stunning product design sketches of various products, so of course I asked him what he and the rest of the design team were working on at the time. To my surprise he told me that there was no design team and nobody working full time at Thule with design! After some more chatting I told Henrik “now we have one, because YOU will be working as our Chief Designer”. 18 years later and endless fun hours spent with Henrik and his constantly growing team of talented designers discussing the ins and outs of or Brand Design and the application of that design thinking to the wide array of Thule products, I am so stoked that Henrik Eriksson, Jan Adler and rest of the team get their well-deserved recognition.
