⚠️Burglars - Chancers - Trespassers ⚠️ Be one step ahead ALWAYS!! Distraction Techniques: Don't be fooled by clever distractions! Train your staff and encourage your household to be alert and maintain their focus. Hidden or Obscured Areas: Intruders do hide. Reduce this risk by implementing irregular patrols and ensuring full camera coverage and motion detection lighting. Tailgating into Controlled Areas: Don't let unauthorised individuals beat your routine! Establish strict entry protocols and educate your staff to remain vigilant and consistent. Exploiting Busy Times: Stay one step ahead of intruders who's aim is to blend in making the most out of busy periods. Train your team to identify and act on any suspicious behaviour during quiet and hectic hours, especially start times, lunch periods and finishing time. Roof Entry: Put a lid on external entries from above. Reinforce weak points and include them in your security checks to keep intruders out. Through Utility Access: Don't give intruders an easy entry point. Secure utility accesses with grills or alarms to deter entry through these vulnerable points. Bypassing Simple Locks: Upgrade your locks to defend against experts, these are purposely pick-resistant to safeguard your assets. Protect your premises and home from any intruder by cross checking your current protection with these essential strategies. Don't let them take advantage of complacency or 'It'll not happen to me' – by being remain one step ahead

On 17 March 2019, a fire broke out at a storage facility which resulted in 2 tanks on fire. The video showed a brief summary of actions and series of events that unfolded in the upcoming days up till 1 April 2019. In such event, situations can escalates drastically and while the emergency responders are out in the field attempting to mitigate and contain the situation, it is important to set up a team to provide strategic response. Crisis management is a strategic response where STRATEGIES are designed to help an organisation deal with a sudden and significant negative event. Crisis management is a set of procedures and meetings applied expeditiously to address, contain, and resolve incidents/events in a planned and coordinated manner. Upon setting up of the crisis management team, - Conduct stakeholder impact analysis - Analysis of incident potential (Human resource, public, government affairs, HSE, financial, business and legal concerns) - Establish CMT strategic objectives - Set up and maintain CMT information Center - Conduct crisis management assessment meeting cycle. This will continue periodically until business as normal. During the assessment meeting cycle, upon receiving situational update, the team are to review and update incident potential and stakeholder analysis, prepare CMT action plan and update situation status. Incidents like this greatly highlights the importance of organisational preparedness to handle emergencies and crisis in both tactical and strategic stand point to better equip, prepare and having the ability to respond, act and react appropriately, effectively.
