One of the biggest challenges for companies supporting Field Services is filling open field technician positions. However, Help Lightning clients have found an interesting solution to this issue. By using Help Lightning's Remote Visual Guidance technology, recruiting time can be significantly reduced. This process puts the hiring manager in the room with the candidate, allowing them to validate technical capabilities using actual hardware and technology. Say goodbye to lengthy recruiting processes and hello to efficient hiring with Help Lightning. #recruiting, #hiring

Want to know what our technicians think about working here? We asked technicians from each location, and here's what Mike said from our Charleston, SC, team! "The culture here is accepting and welcoming, and people take care of each other. Other companies I've worked for, it was: you come in, do your job, and get out of there. Here, any issue, personal or work related-it doesn't matter. People here band together and take care of you." One of our philosophies at Total Comfort Solutions is ensuring we have the "right people in the right positions.". Our hiring process is set up to find people who are excited about a culture that fosters personal and professional growth and who care about the well-being of others. #TotalComfortSolutions #LincService #culture #employees #hiring #familyoriented #caring #professionalgrowth #personalgrowth #wellbeing #workculture #tradejobs

"We extended an offer to him yesterday and were hoping to have an answer by now. We're looking for someone in this role who is decisive, maybe he's not the right person for us." 🙄 Unless you're hiring for a bomb squad technician, having a candidate take a few days to respond on an offer should be seen as an overwhelmingly positive reflection of their decision-making ability. Changing jobs is one of the most impactful and life-altering decisions that we make throughout our lives. For someone to give an instant answer on such a substantial decision, I would seriously question how much thought they're going to put into menial work tasks. When extending offers, provide a MINIMUM of 2-3 business days for a response. Anything less than that and I'd start to question the company's decision making much more than the candidate's. #HappyHunting

This week's tip for inclusive hiring: Verify physical "must haves" for a job are REALLY must haves. It’s not uncommon to have physical requirements for a job, and many are valid. However, before requiring physical abilities, make sure they are truly necessary. For example, hiring a sales rep that will work at conference booths, MUST they be able to “stand up for up to eight hours” or can someone in a wheelchair do the job? What about a technician with heavy equipment, MUST they “be able to carry 30 lb.” or is it possible to have a cart to move the heavy equipment? For any physical requirement, have a clear reason why there is no alternative, otherwise you may be needlessly discriminating against certain applicants. #NoBIas #Inclusion #talentacquisition
