Forbes ranks “Teamwork and Collaboration” as one of the top ten traits of highly successful people. One of the most important lessons I learned in conversation with the great real estate syndicator, Eric Chadderdon, is “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Looking back, this concept has been a determining factor for my success in the military. In every circumstance, putting the goals of the team above our own personal ambitions always pays more in the end, both for ourselves and for the group at large. It’s a win-win! This piece of timeless wisdom rings true in every era, industry, and situation. In this highly technological and remote-working world that we are all navigating, it is easy to find ourselves becoming isolated from the teams we are apart of and the people that we work with.
