🌿 Tips for Job Seekers: Make Your "Open to Work" Settings Public! 🌿 Here's a tip that could significantly boost your chances of landing your next opportunity: Make sure your “Open to Work” settings on LinkedIn are set to public. When you’re in the job market, having your profile visible to recruiters is crucial. By enabling this setting, you’re increasing your chances of being discovered by recruiters who are actively searching for talent. 🌟 🔍 Why Visibility Matters: - Expand Your Reach: Recruiters have access to a wider pool of candidates when your profile is public, making it easier for them to find and connect with you. - Showcase Your Availability: Letting recruiters know you’re open to new opportunities ensures they don’t miss out on your profile. - Boost Your Chances: Public settings can lead to more outreach and potentially more job offers, increasing your chances of finding the perfect fit. ✨ How to do it ✨ - Go to your LinkedIn profile and click on the “Open to” button. - Select “Finding a new job” and choose “All LinkedIn members” to make it public. - Update your preferences and save! Don’t let your dream job pass you by—make sure your profile is as accessible as possible. Happy job hunting! 💼🔗 #JobSearch #CareerTips #LinkedIn #JobHunting #OpenToWork #Recruitment #Tips

Here's hoping this year we'll see some changes in hiring by hiring managers. Starting with you either want to hire someone or not. It's that simple. Or is it? ✔️ Job seekers are not free labor for you and your company. Asking them to prepare free proposals or other projects as part of interviewing isn't only wrong, it's disrespectful. ✔️ No more fake or place holder job postings which are a means to get resumes. ✔️ It's 2 or 3 and done - if you can't make a decision on hiring someone by then, your interview process is flawed and you and your company need better training ✔️ Come up with some relevant interview questions to ask job seekers - BTW my favorite color is green and I'd be a Labrador retriever if I could be anything. What does that say about me? ✔️ Job seekers - be willing to walk away. There's a difference between venting about your personal situation and calling out the process. ✔️That's one great thing about networking groups and attending events - the 'I'm not alone' mindset will help you so much. #jobsearch #jobseekers #networking #opentowork #recruiters 💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭💭 👋 I'm your man, Kenneth Lang! ➡️ As a LinkedIn Introvert, I tell my connections, 'Jump In, the LinkedIn water's fine!

🌟 Why Responding to Recruiters Matters, Even If You're Not Job Hunting 🌟 We all receive messages from recruiters now and then, and it’s easy to overlook them—especially if you’re not actively seeking a new role. But here’s why responding can be beneficial, even if you’re happy where you are: ➡ Networking: Engaging with recruiters expands your professional network. You never know when a valuable connection might come in handy in the future! Industry Insights: Recruiters often have a pulse on industry trends and salary benchmarks. Their insights can be invaluable for your career growth. ➡ Future Opportunities: The perfect role for you may not be available now, but it could be in the near future. Keeping lines of communication open means you’ll be the first to know. ➡ Referrals: If the opportunity isn’t for you, passing it along to someone in your network can strengthen your relationships and reputation as a connector. ➡ Professional Courtesy: A simple response shows respect for the recruiter’s time and effort. It reflects well on you as a professional. Even a quick “Thanks for reaching out, but I’m not looking right now” can go a long way! #Networking #CareerGrowth #Recruitment #ProfessionalDevelopment #Opportunities
