In the nonprofit realm, advocacy and traditional fundraising each have unique roles. Advocacy focuses on driving social or political change through lobbying and awareness efforts, while fundraising rallies support through donations. C3 and C4 organizations operate under different guidelines, with C4s enjoying more flexibility in advocacy. Our expertise in managing both advocacy and fundraising programs, and navigating the complexities of C3 and C4 regulations, empowers our clients to reach their goals with confidence. Outside of altruism, there are several reasons corporations should team up with non-profits to help them achieve their goals. Here are 4 good reasons to consider partnering with a charitable organization. At MIS, we’ve partnered with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy to help with its mission of helping children heal from the trauma of sexual abuse and trafficking. The VSS Child Advocacy Center provides forensic interviews for children in child maltreatment investigations. Some children and families must be at the center for hours at a time, especially families with multiple children to be interviewed. VSS provides snacks and drinks to families while they wait, and when possible, sends a few snacks and drinks to go home with them. VSS works closely with Law Enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, and Child Protective Services during these investigations and provides snacks and drinks to these partners as they are also here for hours at a time. We would love your help with providing these small but meaningful comforts to our families and partners during such difficult and overwhelming Child Advocacy Center visits. Some Examples Of Non-Perishable Snacks To Donate: Ramen Noodles Cups, Mac N Cheese Cups (Easy Mac), Raviolis Cups (Not Cans), Soup Cups (Not Cans), Cheese-Itz, Crackers, Cookies, Trail Mix, Fruit Snacks, Fruit Rollups, Apple Sauce, Fruit Cups, Chips, Any Other Individually Wrapped Snacks, Capri Suns, Juice Boxes, Sodas, Cups For Water, Coffee Cups, Keurig Coffee Cups, Coffee Creamer, Hot Chocolate Packets Or Cups Or if you prefer to Donate Monetarily you can do so at our secure donation site- https://lnkd.in/gGy6s-AM #SupportSurvivors #ChildAdvocacy #ChildAdvocacyCenter #FoodDrive #DonationsMakeADifference #Snacks #VSSBelieves

Giving back never gets old. Seeing the impact of the donations received at The Giving Cup on local nonprofits is just one reminder why I will always fight for community banking. It’s not an easy industry to navigate. We have to fight against often unfair competition, scalability of resources, a regulatory environment which too often becomes one size fits all rather than focusing on the large institutions posing the most systemic risk and so many more challenges. The ability to differentiate ourselves as a community bank and remain relevant is a topic in every boardroom, yet so often in our industry fresh ideas are met with fear of change, resulting in banks finding it easier to merge or be acquired. Even on the hardest days, I am reminded we are here for more. I look at the students and teachers receiving recognition, fire departments receiving needed gear, those with disabilities receiving needed services, and children served at North Star receiving hope. Each check represents donations from merely cups of coffee. The little things do add up…so far to over $50,000 with 💯% being returned to organizations like North Star. What we stand for and how we give back as an industry is absolutely worth the fight. 🙌🏼 #whatbankingcanbe #banklocally #whereyoubankmatters ❤️
We stopped by North Star Child Advocacy Center’s Open House to present them with $2,000 from donations received at The Giving Cup! This brings North Star to a total received of $9,505! We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with them! The Giving Cup has received over $50,000 in donations to date helping our 6 local nonprofit beneficiaries better serve our community! #WhatBankingCanBe #BankLocally #TheGivingCup

📊 Understanding the Impact 📊 This #CAPMonth, let's look at the numbers: Over 650,000 children were found to be victims of maltreatment in the US last year, and this is likely an underestimate. Behind these numbers are real children facing real challenges. But there's hope – through our collective efforts, we can make a difference. Initiatives like Digital Advocacy Day, Wearing Blue Day, and donations to PCAA play a crucial role. These actions strengthen our fight against child abuse and neglect, ensuring every child has the chance to grow up in a safe, loving environment.
