Building interprofessional teams with ease | Bridging science to practice | Team development strategies | Patient Advocate | Let's build high performing teams together!

I'll go first. ➡️ I am a Physical Therapist with a current role in Health Equity and Interprofessional Collaboration ➡️ I interact mostly with Nursing in my new role within the Quality and Health Equity department I gave a little more context, so you can too! I encourage all of you to comment and then come back and read the responses, so you can develop your interprofessional lens with the focus of improving health. The Roles and Responsibilities competency for interprofessional collaborative practice states: "Use the knowledge of one’s own role and team members’ expertise to address individual and population health outcomes." Let’s continue learning from one another and build stronger, more informed teams. Remember, we are 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥

Executive Coach | Certified NeuroChange Professional | Transforming Conflict into Collaboration

Tina Patel Gunaldo, PhD, DPT, MHS I am a Certified NeuroChange Professional by training. I interact primarily with HR leaders and teams. APPENDIX: For me, NeuroChange is all about helping people heal from those deeper, often hidden wounds we carry—especially from relationships, whether it's at work or in our personal lives. When teams recognize the patterns that pop up in their interactions, they can utilize neuroscience to rewire memories that trigger those unwanted reactions using memory reconsolidation. The result? People build healthier relationships, let go of past hurts, and grow in ways they didn’t think were possible. And this allows them to do their jobs with excellence!

So much to consider here (as with all your posts, Tina). By training (interpreted as degrees), I am a researacher and speech pathologist. I am a lifelong learner and therefore a trained student, risk taker, question asker (interpreted by some as disruptor), truth seeker. Additional professional identities: manager, mentor, educator, liaison, cheerleader, confidant, we could all go on! Striving to always be better, I'd suggest we are always in training. As a clinician, the profession I interacted mostly with varied with my role/setting though physicians were the constant within delivery and reimbursement systems that are physician-centric by design.

I am an OT by training. The “profession” I interact mostly with are TEDx event licensees (who are from various walks of life). And due to my organizing style, I also interact with speakers from a variety of backgrounds. However, I am part of a minority in that space because the work required is very difficult for healthcare workers in today’s workplace climate, especially as the folks in charge of these events.
