We’ve all been there. Watching that person at work that can’t stop talking (or perhaps just repeating) in meetings, who beats us to the promotion… …or maybe it’s just me, remembering my early years in a corporate environment 🤷♀️ Getting passed up for a promotion hurts. Especially when you have worked just as hard. You start to question your standing and status at work, and how much visibility you need to have in order to have people realize you are hungry and capable. But what if it’s not the talking that will make you successful in the long term? Maybe it can also be better and more focused listening. Listening allows us to know our audience. It allows us to make space for new ideas. It allows us to take the time to understand and THINK about which response will really add value. Eventually, this gets noticed, and sets you up for maximizing impact, for yourself and your organization. Listening skills are the bedrock of effective communication, fostering relationships, and driving innovation. Remember that when you listen, you grow, and when you grow, you succeed. It doesn't happen overnight, but with consistent work, it happens faster than you may believe. Why not make listening one of your superpowers? 🎯 Top 5 Hidden Career Blockers Nobody Talks About Over the past few years coaching clients, I've noticed something interesting. I consistently hear the following 5 concerns in my 1:1 coaching sessions (#1 might surprise you): 5️⃣ "How do I effectively influence across all levels of the organization?" 4️⃣ "Are my projects viewed as critical to the company's success?" 3️⃣ "How do I balance team recognition while ensuring my contributions are seen?" 2️⃣ "Do people perceive me as a leader beyond my immediate circle?" 1️⃣ "How do I authentically communicate my successes without seeming boastful?" 🤔 At their core, these concerns all circle back to three fundamental questions: - Does my work matter? - Am I seen as effective? - Is anyone noticing my impact? Career growth doesn't have to be a solo journey. The right coaching partnership can accelerate your progress, transform knowledge into actionable steps, build confidence, and develop a success-oriented mindset. Sometimes, the fastest path to success is having someone in your corner who's helped others navigate the same journey. 💡 What's your experience with these challenges? #WorkBetter #ProfessionalDevelopment #CareerGrowth #Leadership #coachpcd

People often ask me, “Why did you choose this career?” and “What do you bring to the table?” I’ve been there—feeling overwhelmed as a student with endless choices, navigating the pressure as a mid-level manager trying to prove myself, and later, wearing the hat of a leader, responsible for both people and strategy. As a student, I remember the confusion and self-doubt. I was constantly asking myself: Am I choosing the right path? Will my decisions today shape my future in the right way? As a mid-level manager, the stakes got higher. Suddenly, I had to manage a team, deliver results, and prove that I could handle the pressure. I was stuck in the middle, balancing what my superiors wanted with the needs of my team. As I grew into leadership, I found myself not only responsible for guiding others but often feeling isolated. The burden of having to always “know the way” can weigh heavily. What helped me along the way were the very same things I now offer to others. 🌟 Coaching gave me the clarity to recognize my blind spots, build self-awareness, and develop confidence to make tough decisions. It helped me trust my own journey. 🌟 Training provided me with the practical skills to bridge the gap between where I was and where I wanted to be. I realized that growth wasn’t about perfection, but progress. 🌟 Assessments were my reality checks. They showed me where I stood and what needed improvement. It’s not always easy to face, but the truth fuels real growth. 🌟 Facilitation opened doors to collaboration and new perspectives. I learned that creating space for others to grow made me a stronger leader and enriched my experience. This career choice isn’t just a job for me—it’s a calling. I do this because I’ve lived through the challenges my clients face. I’ve walked in the shoes of the student, the manager, and the leader. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of the next step. And that’s why I’m here—to support others overcome those barriers and achieve their full potential. #MyJourney #LeadershipGrowth #Coaching #Training #FromStudentToLeader #SelfAwareness #CareerDevelopment #LeadershipTransformation

𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 As a leadership coach, one of the most powerful concepts I share with my clients revolves around effectively managing their focus. It’s essential to differentiate between what we can control, what we can influence, and what should merely concern us. Here's a simple yet profound strategy: focus 70% on your circle of control, 30% on your circle of influence, and 0% on your circle of concern. 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 (𝟕𝟎%) This is where your energy should be primarily invested. These are the aspects of your professional and personal life that you have direct control over, such as your work ethic, your reactions to outcomes, and your daily habits. By concentrating on these areas, you not only enhance your competence but also your confidence. 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝟑𝟎%) These are elements you can affect but not control entirely, such as your relationships with peers or the culture of your team. Spending time here involves mentoring others, improving communication, and building strong networks. This focus helps you extend your impact and fosters a positive environment for mutual growth. 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧 (𝟎%) Often, we waste too much energy on issues outside our control or influence, such as market fluctuations or competitor actions. While it’s important to be aware of these factors, dedicating emotional or mental resources to them does not change their outcome. Eliminate focus from this area to enhance productivity and reduce unnecessary stress. By allocating your focus according to these circles, you maximize your effectiveness and achieve more balanced, sustainable results. You empower yourself to act where you can make a difference and learn to let go of what you cannot change. Effective leadership is not just about hard skills; it's also about how wisely you manage your focus. Channel your energies where they will count the most, and you'll see a great impact on your personal and professional growth. #leadership #mindset #coaching #growth #success #focus
