📌 How Can Planning and Candidate Experience Benefit Organizations in an Oversaturated Market? After 1.5 years of consulting, I've been focusing my efforts on coaching tech startup leaders to plan strategically during different market conditions. My engineering-inspired approach, including retrospective sessions, allows us to analyze processes and evolve strategies continuously. While LinkedIn offers abundant advice for job seekers, long-term organizational planning discussions are scarce. When times are slow, my advice to leaders centers on strategic planning, process improvement, and data analysis to support candidate experience, DE&I programs, and headcount planning. Some organizations neglect candidate experience, citing the current employer-favored market. However, this short-term view is unsustainable. Investing in long-term strategies avoids repeated reinvention and is ultimately more cost-effective. Inclusive hiring processes, headcount planning, and exceptional candidate experience lead to better retention, a strong, diverse culture, and lower attrition. It pains me to see professionals on #LinkedIn feeling frustrated and scared as they realize they can't rely on these systems anymore. It hurts more to see professionals doubt themselves because they are scared of the unknown of stepping out of the perceived thinking that these systems are the only way to feel secure and safe. Our ego is the #1 barrier to changing going forward. So, what's next? ⏰ Honing your creativity skills 🔑 YOU (the way you think, what you like, what you enjoy, your experiences) are your biggest RESOURCE. Your power lies in embracing your unique creative process to forge a new career. This transformation is key. We are creative. We just don't believe we are because we have been told to trust external systems over ourselves. This is imposter syndrome. Getting to know yourself is the best investment to start this journey.
