LinkedIn headline? Why do you need to add more information there and not leave it empty or with "open to new opportunities" text? 💡 So let me explain why it is so important to add proper headlines on LinkedIn, as you see in the picture: First case easy to understand what I do and where I have expertise. 🎯 Second nothing gives a clue what I do. 🤔 If a recruiter searches some specialists by keywords first they see your Name Surname, Headline, and then other information like work experience, so make sure your headline includes something that explains what you do. #linkedintips #careeradvice #linkedinforcreators

"Pete, should I put "Open to Work" banner on my LinkedIn profile?" I've seen some posts from recruiters and coaches talking about this and I think it's time that I throw my proverbial hat in the ring. So, should you put "Open to Work"? Yes, but LinkedIn manipulates (nudges) you not to do it. "Wait...what?" Let's look into it. When you choose "recruiters only", the font is in bold catching your attention and giving you what you are looking for - recruiters see your profile, YAY! Typically, people will stop reading immediately as they got what they wanted. However, if you keep reading, the second line (not bolded) states "Limited to people using LinkedIn Recruiter". I've notice that not many people don't know what LinkedIn Recruiter is. It's a product that costs $10,800 per seat billed annually (or $1,080 per month) - last time I checked. Due to the costs, - clears throat - NOT EVERY RECRUITER HAS THIS LICENSE! Sorry, I was making sure I get everyone in the back there. Okay, now that we got that out of the way. Let's look at something that no one is talking about... "Why would LinkedIn do this?" Every time a user switches to "All LinkedIn Members", the value of LinkedIn Recruiter falls. Following this thought, how would create LinkedIn create an obstacle (pain) to users to stay away from "All LinkedIn Members"? They make you have a fugly banner on your profile picture. This is called nudging the user or laymen terms, manipulation. Note: I typically explain nudging with forcing a right handed dribbler left hand in basketball. If you need me to elaborate, comment below. Remember, understand the rules before you play the game. Cheers, Plus 5XP #gethired #jobsearch #career
