Canada. Can Experiential Learning Go Virtual? Lessons Learned From Canadian Nursing Education During the Pandemic In this research, we examine the results of interviews with nurse educators, nursing experts, and recent nurse graduates to determine how the pandemic-driven move to virtual study affected the delivery of experiential learning. Did nursing students learn the necessary skills required for safe and effective practice? How did the move to online learning affect student engagement and academic dishonesty? Were there benefits specific to virtual learning that can be incorporated into future teaching efforts?

It's commendable to see Cascade School District (CSD) being reimbursed $111,000 by the state for special education expenses incurred during the 2023-2024 school year. Superintendent Tracey Edou highlighted the various crucial needs of students that this reimbursement helps address, from interpreters to nursing care. The reimbursement, awarded through the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Safety Net Funding, assists districts with special education costs beyond their state and federal allocations. This competitive and complex grant, not previously applied for by CSD until Edou's tenure, covers about five percent of the district's special education expenses. It's a significant relief for the district, reducing the need to dip into savings extensively. Looking ahead, CSD plans to reapply for the grant next year with support from Educational Service District 112 (ESD), expecting even greater success with their expertise in special education services. For more details on this positive development in supporting special education needs, check out the full article here: [https://buff.ly/3LhuFG5] #EducationFunding #SpecialEducation #SupportingStudents #CommunityCare
