The aviation industry is committed to reducing its environmental footprint and is embarking on a transformative journey towards decarbonisation. A green paper released by the Australian Government on September 7, 2023, estimates that between 300 and 450 million litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) was produced globally in 2022—three times the volumes manufactured the year before. Last week European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) released an industry update on "How to make operations more sustainable" 📃 This piece goes over the range of solutions needed to achieve aviation's carbon-neutral goal in 2050: SAF, contrail mitigation, ground ops, ... Yesterday, our COO Claire Kelly had the honour of attending an event at Parliament House to discuss the Manifesto for UK Leadership in Sustainable Aviation. The manifesto highlights the commitment to achieving net zero aviation and mitigating the impact of aviation noise while ensuring the UK continues to reap the economic benefits aviation brings nationwide.
