Despite the rise of AI and innovative technologies shaping the future, the human desire for authentic experiences remains strong. It's surprising how many events resist evolution, sticking to the same formula year after year. Vendors should shift from order takers to collaborative partners, embracing change and committing to faster evolution. The post-pandemic era has reshaped the event calendar, with new seasons concentrating events in specific months. This shift has led production companies and brands to focus on peak-performing dates, creating higher competition within these seasons. However, there are opportunities for unique events during off-peak times. In '22, companies thrived in a cohesive ecosystem, leveraging their strengths. By '23, rising costs squeezed margins, prompting companies to explore new growth avenues beyond their core competencies, driving aggressive strategies by '24.
