For anyone interested, I'm going to be presenting at the May 8th Albany/Capital District ASCM Awards & Scholarship Dinner. Topic and details below. Should Waste be the Primary Focus of Improvement Efforts? Presented by Todd Nadler, CPIM-F, CSCP, CSSGB Those familiar with Lean Enterprise know that eliminating waste is considered a primary focus. If we think about it, however, is waste really the primary cause of problems in our organizations? Is there a more root cause undermining our improvement efforts, no matter the methodology, and making them difficult to sustain? If so, what is it and what special challenges exist in addressing it? https://lnkd.in/e3tpfpNx

🌟 An Unforgettable First: SCMA’s 12th Annual Case Competition 🌟 This past month, I had the privilege of participating in the 12th Annual Case Competition, hosted by W. P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University and sponsored by Applied Materials. This competition, organized by the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) at ASU, was an unforgettable experience that highlighted the power of collaboration, innovation, and resilience in addressing real-world supply chain challenges. Competing alongside 24 talented teams, we had just 48 hours to analyze and solve a complex supply chain case presented by Applied Materials. The competition was intense, dynamic, and required us to think outside the box to develop practical and impactful solutions. Presenting our ideas to the judges and receiving their invaluable feedback was an incredibly enriching experience. 📝 This opportunity reinforced the importance of teamwork and applying academic concepts to real-world scenarios. I am deeply grateful to Permeet Bhatia, SCMA’s VP of Professional Development, for orchestrating such a seamless and engaging event. My heartfelt thanks also go to Applied Materials for crafting an inspiring case and sharing valuable industry insights. To my amazing teammates, Jayani Gunda, Maherdeep Chhabra, and Supriya Patki, thank you for your dedication, creativity, and collaboration. This competition may have been our first, but it is certainly not our last! 🚀 Participating in this event has broadened my understanding of supply chain management and motivated me to take on future challenges with even greater enthusiasm. Here’s to more opportunities for growth, learning, and innovation! #SCMACaseCompetition #WPCarey #SupplyChainManagement #AppliedMaterials #ProfessionalDevelopment #Teamwork #ASU #LearningJourney
