Auto dealer sentiment is at its second-lowest score in the history of the Cox Automotive Inc.'s Automotive Dealer Sentiment Index, a trend that may continue and add further pressure on the $230 billion of largely junk loans and bonds in the sector. The OEM’s insist on getting surveys from customers. The only survey acceptable is all 5’s or 5 stars, or all excellent. First of all, taking your vehicle in for service is not an “excellent” experience. Watching my kid hit a home run or catching a 5lb bass is an excellent experience. So why would you want to pi** off your customer further by adding a surcharge? As Randy DuRie says, why surcharge when you can FleetCharge?
