One quote that has benefited me a lot in my design work was that of Chris Do, from the podcast "The Laws of Creativity": “When we aren’t told what we can and cannot do, it turns out we can do a lot more than we think.” As an example, he mentions people who came up with even more creative solutions than expected. They achieved this by using their unique approach and experience. 💭 How I apply this thinking… If the scope allows it, don’t stop at surface level ideas or instructions. Use them as a base for further exploration of even more creative solutions. This is a way to take your work from acceptable to ✨ standing out. Too many companies silo everything and then wonder why the results are sort of, umm, average at best. I was recently on The Frictionless Experience Podcast with Chuck Moxley and Nick Paladino, talking about something companies often don't address. Putting design and data back into making creative frictionless experiences. "Looking at all the different designs out there when it comes to apps, they all look similar. I haven't used an app in a long time that I've thought, 'Wow! The design of this is light years different from everything else out there. I'm starting to see more companies just copying experiences rather than transforming and combining different elements into something new. Which creativity is all about.'"
