🌈 Pride month reflections: Recognising our internal advocates and allies 🌈 As we come to the end of Pride Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible efforts of our colleagues who have made this month a memorable and impactful one at Too Good To Go. 💚 Our Pride Month activities have been nothing short of inspiring. A special thank you to our P.R.I.D.E. Employee Resource Group and our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce for putting together such meaningful events. 🏳️🌈 Internal Pride Panel: We had the privilege of hearing from some of our very own team members who courageously shared their personal stories about identity, belonging, and their experiences both within and outside of Too Good To Go. 🏳️⚧️ We were also honoured to welcome Hannah and Jake Graf MBE, who led an insightful session on the trans experience. They shared their stories, and provided us with practical ways to cultivate a more inclusive workplace. 🌍 Across our global offices, local Pride initiatives have been in full swing, celebrating diversity and inclusion in unique and impactful ways. In Italy, the team learned about other employee experiences in starting her family with her partner, and the barriers many LGBTQIA+ families face in doing so. In Poland and the Netherlands, team members attended local celebrations including Pride marches and a drag queen bingo event! 🎊 And around the globe, lots of great decorations and celebrations have been happening to show team pride in local offices, including amazing merchandise such as stickers and hats designed by our wonderful Creative team. June is known as the Pride month around the world. We asked 2 questions to our HR manager, Maud L., about LGBTQIA+ thematic. 🌈 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚 & @𝐢𝐡𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐬&𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡? One of the three major promises that IHG makes to its employees is "Room to Belong". This concretely means that IHG, as an employer, supports all its employees in various aspects of their lives, regardless of their differences, because it is crucial for us that everyone feels included and valued in their professional lives. Therefore, it is only natural that Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport is involved in supporting LGBTQIA+ rights during the month of June (and all the year long), as we believe that a diverse and inclusive culture allows the integration of varied perspectives. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡? In a daily life in our hotel, as coworker LGBTQIA+, you feel accepted and respected for your identity without fear of discrimination or harassment; you participate in team activities where your identity is respected rather than being a source of curiosity or exclusion and you feel comfortable to speak openly about your personal life without altering details to conceal your identity. Good to know also : all our job positions are open to X and each year. In June, we participate to Pride Month to raise awareness and foster inclusion within our staff. Throughout the month, we're highlighting the subject in our daily news and sharing key dates related to the LGBTQIA+ cause. On top, we are going to organize a workshop on inclusion to raise awareness among participants of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ people and to further promote an inclusive and respectful work environment. 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 #GoFurtherTogether #allies #hospitality #interview #ExperienceIHG

Drawing from my experience as an I-O Psychologist, here are some actionable tips: 🔹 Incorporate inclusivity into your organization's strategy: Make inclusivity a cornerstone, aligning it with your overarching mission, values, and goals. 🔹 Adopt explicit DEI&B and non-discrimination policies: Set clear standards that affirm your commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 🔹 Establish non-discriminatory hiring practices: Prioritize job relevancy and fair assessment methods to help ensure a diverse talent pool. 🔹 Promote ongoing inclusivity through diversity training: Cultivate a culture of understanding and respect through continuous education and dialogue. 🔹 Build equitable career support systems: Implement mentorship and sponsorship programs, enhance accessibility practices, and utilize data to track progress. Integrating these strategies year-round can lead to a more inclusive environment, the benefits of which include fostering innovation, brand equity, and profitability.
